glarhzilla Posted Thursday at 06:31 PM Posted Thursday at 06:31 PM Hi all. I've got some non standard buttons on my velfire and was curious if you know what they mean or what they're for? The little light switch lookingone. Also what do the other buttons mean. Also where my media unit is I have the airbagthat says passenger. Is this supposed to be illuminated? Thank you.

Not an unusual accessory. The P switch could be a parking aid ! Power doors disables/enables the rear doors, to prevent 'little fingers' at play.
glarhzilla Posted Thursday at 07:48 PM Author Posted Thursday at 07:48 PM Hiya rojie. When you say driving lights do you mean the ambient strip lighting in the roof liner at the back? P switch being the parking aid could make sense. As I've got the full camera set up around the car. Regarding the parking aid, does that mean the car will self park or am I being too ambitious? Thanks
Jimmympv Posted Thursday at 07:48 PM Posted Thursday at 07:48 PM (edited) The rocker switch could well have been for switching the indicator lights on as DRLs. I have this on my Alphard, my switch is on the steering column but it's no longer active as the wiring was used for the rear fog light, so now the switch does nothing. The passenger light is a seat belt warning, it will flash if someones in the passenger without a belt and you start driving. There may also be a tone that sounds at the same time. The tone can be turned off via OBD though. I'm not 100% certain but I'm pretty confident that the button above the rocker switch with the P in an arrow is related to the auto park feature called Intelligent Park Assist (IPA) I'm assuming that you don't have 360 cameras installed as it wasn't common to have IPA and 360 cameras on the same car. If you look at the button next to the ODO button that's also related. If you had 360 cameras that button would have a camera icon and will display the cameras on the radio display. You can also tell from the sonar sensors on the outside of the car, if you have sensors on the side of the bumper then you have IPA Edited Thursday at 07:51 PM by Jimmympv

I must be one of the "lucky ones" as I've got both the cameras, parking sensors and auto park feature. I'll turn the other "light switch" style switches on and have a look around the car see if they do activate DRLs or if rockets come out of the front bumper. 🤣
Gamith Posted yesterday at 05:58 AM Posted yesterday at 05:58 AM Maybe not rockets, but you should check the front passenger foot-well for a road-flare - that should have been removed on import.

Ah thanks gamith. I'll check it out. I wonder how I'd dispose of such a thing if there is one.
Gamith Posted yesterday at 07:09 AM Posted yesterday at 07:09 AM I doubt it will be there but if I were find one I would treat it like a firework. If your garden is big enough put it on a paving slab, barbecue or something and light it and stand back. 1

Nothing to do with roof liner (which is probably your mood lighting). If it is a parking aid, as opposed to cameras, I have no idea how it operates. 1
Chris.ac Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Dashboard illumination control. Odo memory switch. Camera view selector ( switches between front, rear, and side/front) Next row Traction control, rear roof illumination brightness toggle. Parking sensors on/off Next row. Rear foglights. Front light auto turning mode ( your dipped beams move to the left and right when cornering. Wing mirror fold control ( centre position will fold and unfold with locking and unlocking doors.) switches to the left. Auto parking (i can add a link to a translated English manual that covers this and the headunit) - yes, this model can parallel and reverse park automatically Sliding doors power ( to switch them into manual mode, if want to for some reason. The toggle button is aftermarket, may be linked to additional interior lighting or daylight running lights, you'll have to check. 1
