  1. Hello, We has gas heating and managed to squeeze in our last winter trip in December last year. it rained really bad but we left the top up with no problems. Heating turned down low and left on resulted in very little condensation. On the pop top we have a window at the front and mesh on both sides. I left the mesh sides ope a little bit to allow air to circulate and i think that helped. Once we got home and on the first dry day i popped the roof to allow it to dry fully.
  2. Hello, I used a local garage yesterday. I only had the MOT as they couldn't fit me in at short notice for the service. I asked them if they would be able to service it and they said 'of course, its the 2.4 same as Rav4 so filters etc are no problem to get hold of'. On a side note, they were extremely impressed. The mechanic that did the MOT has a VW camper and he said this looks so much better with good build quality. I had mine done with Direct Campers and it is absolutely perfect. So to summarise I'm glad i used a local garage supporting local business. Ill update once i've had the service :-)
  3. Thanks, thats what i thought but wanted to check. 🙂
  4. Hello, I was told the 2.4 engine is used in the Rav4. i have copied below what i found from a google search. I read this as all 2.4 owners should be okay on E10 as it is the FE engine not the FSE as used in the avensis. The Alphard has 2 engine choices, both petrol: a 4 cylinder 2.4 litre or a V6 3 litre. The 3 litre V6 1MZ-FE also features on the Lexus RX300 and Toyota Camry, amongst others. The 2.4 2AZ-FE has previously been seen in the UK in the Previa and RAV4.
  5. Hello, Maybe a daft question but my 2003 pop top Alphard is coming up to its first birthday (with us) and is due MOT and service. I would really appreciate anyones opinions/advice as to where i should take it, Toyota garage or local independent? Thank you in advance 🙂
  6. Hello, George do you have a website to which rails to buy for the awning please. I have a pop top 2003 model and wasnt sure if the magnetic ones were any good but id rather fit something more permanent. Thansk.
  7. Hello, Thanks for that. I don't have lane assist or cameras. I think it must be an early 2003 model currently just has the stereo fitted so i wasn't sure if i could fit a sat nav. Don't suppose you know the model number?
  8. Hello, i found one on Amazon specifically for the Alphard. Used this weekend and its so easy to fit and works fantastic. Just searcher windscreen cover Alphard.
  9. Hello, I wonder if any of you can help. I have a 2003 Alphard camper without a sat nav installed. Is it possible to have one fitted and if so does anyone have any recommendations? I would ideally like one with built in mas rather than tethering my phone as reception isn't always guaranteed. Thanks in advance. Anthony
