  1. Hello Steve, Welcome to the Forum. I agree with James. Don't expect the VIN to look anything like a European one, as it won't
  2. Hopefully your dealer will help, as they are expensive ! If not, mention that you have joined the Alphard Club as he may not wish for any adverse publicity.
  3. Hello Markus, Welcome to the Forum. Welcome to Alphard ownership. Chris is correct about ULEZ. But ULEZ and Congestion charge are not the same. Other cities also have controlled zones (whether they charge is a different matter). Apologies if you know this already.
  4. Hello Tony, Welcome to the Forum.
  5. Adrian Flux is a broker. It's worth checking who the Insurer/Underwriter is. Campers are more difficult to insure. LV and their various subsidiaries are worth trying for anyone have trouble finding adequate cover.
  6. Hello Russ, Welcome to the Forum. Happy Camparding
  7. I quickly checked Halfords. The £87 Yuasa one is not the one I fitted, and according to the Tanya 'battery finder' won't fit my van. HSB005 is the one I bought, and it fits perfectly. Caution required.
  8. Snows of Plymouth, Exeter and Torbay will work on your Alphard. They are an official Toyota Dealer !
  9. As I said earlier, I use a PC now. Just try and input by pressing the TV button. Hope it works for you. Otherwise try eightseater.blog.com; as he offers some very good guidance on the head unit.
  10. That's like asking me to do your homework ! Challenge gracefully declined.
  11. Is this thread duplicated? I feel sure I answered it already ! Copy below. Hello Andy, Welcome to the Forum. There is a long thread on this subject within this Forum. It is a contentious subject, as you will read. Yes it can, but many of us run mixed fuel, E5 and E10, or just E5. Interestingly, many owners note that their economy is better with E5. Others are perfectly happy with E10. In the end, it's your choice.
  12. Wouldn't / couldn't do mine, but earlier key type.
  13. Hello Richard, I bought from Tanya Batteries. Sensible price, quick delivery, well packed. I went with a Yuasa. I'll try and find the model number, don't hold your breath ! Get the largest capacity that will physically fit in the bracket/clamp. From memory 60Amp/Hr; 600CCA. Lead Calcium. YBX5005 Yuasa Silver High Performance Car Battery 12V 65Ah HSB005. (From Invoice). Mine is the facelift model. Yours is an earlier model, check the correct fit, terminal size, and terminal orientation.
  14. Hi Steve, Welcome to the Forum.
  15. I use a CTEK on the main lead calcium battery, no harm done yet; although I do not use the restore setting. I also use it on the leisure battery when using EHU.

  17. Hello Mike, Welcome to the Forum. I have previously written how the comfort and drivability of my 2006 V6 compares with my supercharged V8 Jaguar. The Toyota is a vehicle for sedate motoring, which it accomplishes with ease. Similarly the Jaguar, albeit with twice the horsepower and even more torque. I am not surprised with your positive comparison. Happy Alpharding.
  18. Hi Chris Glad to hear you think you have it fixed. Thanks should go to Picasso for the detailed process he provided.
  19. Hi Richard, Welcome to the Forum. Nice machine. Buon viaggio
  20. Separate unit for the kids perhaps ? Xtrons ?
  21. North Star are one of the best out there. You chose well. What a beauty.
  22. Hello Kevin, Welcome to the Forum.
  23. I have just been looking at some photos on Autotrader. One van had the one and a half plus one middle seats. Perhaps they swivel. I looked at other vans and all seem to have the shoulder strap entering the B pillar. Are you saying on your model the shoulder strap is secured into the seat (rather than the B pillar ?
