  1. Thanks Nigel, I'll check it out.
  2. JPNZ are legit. I know the importer of JPNZ manuals to the UK. I only know him as Lee. I did become aware that JPNZ had been some Copyright issues with Toyota. I am not aware whether they were resoleved, or not. I'll contact Lee and get an update.
  3. I am not familiar with the Outdoor Revoluion units. I just checked th internet, and most seem to fit the middle doors, which is very normal. I did not find one that fits 'over' the tailgate (rear hatch). If it is tall enough, and you can reverse into it, then raise the tailgate (and minimise the gap between van and awning) you are all set. Drive out, away, zip up, the opening, and off you go. If yours achieves that I need to investigate more.
  4. Ldrego has several useful videos on his You Tube channel. Cuttothechase
  5. Just a simple test With the engine off, measure the voltage across the battery terminals. Ought to be about 12.2v (ish) If 10.6v you have a dead cell, new battery required. Start engine, measure battery voltage, should be around 14v. Alternate delivering voltage, if not current. I think you have already done this. Kwik Fit will probably be able to do a battery test (under load) and an alternator test for free. I now have a smart charger which does these tests; not cheap but worth it. I have found, on my MZ, a lower battery charge is likely to cause various gremlins, not least of which will be false warning lights showing. Standard practice is also to check, clean, tighten all leads on alternator and battery. BE CAREFUL.
  6. The above are not what I would call "tail-gate" tents. To me, a tail-gate tent fits over the rear hatch whille the hatch is open. I believe they are very rare, and have never seen one. I did come across exactly the type of unit, but it was for a Mercedes. I concluded it would be too big, and did not proceed. A drive away is a totally different item. There is a lot of coverage in this forum on drive aways. I don't have one, but understand they are very easy to drive away from, but not so easy to drive up to. Of course, there is no shortage of conventional (if there is such a thing) camping tents. Go Outdoors would be an excellent place to start. I have no affiliation to Go Outdoors, but do use them.
  7. Hi All, The 7 seater and 8 seater use different seat rail positions. They may use different rails themselves, but I don't think so. These seats are from an 8 seater, so fitting to an 8 seater should be very easy. Accessing the rails on a Series 10 is, thankfully, from the inside of the van. ps. They are heavy.
  8. Hi Ted, Some 7 seater Series 10 come with Captains seats in the middle row. They also have a clever manually operated foot-rest,which is independent of the seating, but can be latched under the front seats. I have never sat in a Seies 20, but I do know that the armrests on the middle row Captains seats can be very restricting. An eight seater will not have Captains seats. I do not believe any Series 10 seats have adjustable lumbar supports, the front certainly don't. TRY before you buy.

As I am sure you know, no Japanese satellite system (in the UK) will detect the Japanese satellite transmitters as they are geo-stationary.
  10. I found this thread particularly interesting. I have a 2006 MZ, with most of the bells and whistles. I have a 'unit/gizmo' on the underside of each external rear view mirror. I have never used lane monitoring, but had always thought those 'sensors' were for (my phrase) white line monitoring. I still have the original head unit; archaic but works fine for me (ludite). I need to check my handbooks, although I don't doubt my learned colleagues are correct.
  11. Nice to know. Aviva won't insure my Alphie as it has undergone a conversion. I do have other vehicles with Aviva, so hopefully the premiums on those will be reduced.
  12. Hi Emma, Welcome to the Forum. What width is your R&R ? I have a rear conversion and use an inflatable air mattress with a 240v air pump. Just a thought Do you have an EHU ?
  13. I have used Do they Fit ? in the past. Two things are important. Rolling circumferance, otherwise your speedo will become inaccurate. Wheel arch clearances, especially under dynamic loads, otherwise you can wreck your tyres. I believe Will they Fit will compute both these varaibles to help you decide what action to take, if any. IF you fit non-standard size wheel / tyre combinations (other than those specified by Toyota, you should inform your insurance company.
  14. I have a facelifted series 10, with most available 'bells and whistles'. It does not have an alarm system fitted, as far as I know.
  15. I cannot speak about lpg, but it is not necessary to put the vehicle in neutral at all. I have driven automatics for years (and manuals) and there is no need to deselect the auto-gearbox at traffic lights. Obviously, you will need to keep your foot on the foot brake, otherwise your vehicle may creep.
  16. Just a wild guess here. I haven't come across this problem before. Have you checked under the car for leaks ? Have you checked the transmission fluid level ? I assume a CVT needs fluid ! Sorry, that's all the 'help' I can offer. Good Luck

Please be more careful with the language you use.
  18. Hello Johnny, Welcome to the Forum.
  19. I expect Picasso will answer this for you.

Packing density, wire lengths or maybe the expectation that fuses will not blow often, if at all.
  21. THere aretwo fuses for fuse for the power doors Fuse 2 GAUGE, the fuse box is by the drivers seat. Fuse 15 ECU-IG, the fuse is by the passenger foor well. However, both these fuses protect more than one circuit. So I doubt a fuse is the problem. Have you lost any other functionalities ?
  22. Retrofitting radar will, if possible, be very expensive. TEMS is very expensive if the shockers need replacing. I feel sure Chris.ac has provided a detailed amswer to that question in this Forum. More gizmos means more things to go wrong, more expense; but some make the Alphies a cut above other machines.
  23. Hello Callum, Welcome to the Forum. Please onfirm you have a four-wheel drive machine.
