  1. Hi Katt, I don't have a pop top. Just ideas. Try your local bed shop for a ladder for a bunk bed. Check it is suitable of course Or your nearest pop top installer.
  2. Hi Mike, How far do they open ? I am wondering if this is some safety feature. I'll check mine asap; and let you know.
  3. I am so sorry to hear your wife is (was) unwell. I sincerely wish her a speedy and complete recovery.
  4. Hi Andrew, I may be able to help you with this if your head unit is the same as mine. I have a 2006 MZ G Edition. If it is, it is a good unit, although many do upgrade. Can you attach a photo please. You may wish to look at eightseater.blog.com. If you have the appropriate HDD unit the site is very useful. Please confirm your van is a Gen 1 (2004); not Gen 2 (2008) and I will correct your header.
  5. Snows in Exeter will work on your van. So will DyerNostics in Bodmin. Hello Wayne, Welcome to the Forum
  6. The JPNZ Owners Manuals are a MUST for everyone. Don't miss your opportunity to Browse and Buy. Wishing all those who attend a Great Day; and those, like me, unable to !
  7. Hello Robert, Welcome to the Forum. You pose an Interesting question. I have never seen one. Hopefully other members have. Good Luck
  8. Hello Gary, Welcome to the Forum.
  9. Hi Woodsy, Your Alphie may have rear sensors already, many have. They are known a Sonors, Clearance and Back sonors, and the indication is in the air con bezel. They can be turned off, and the sensitivity can be changed.
  10. Drawings like these, in as much detail, can be found at Toyotalphardepc.com
  11. Hi Geoff, Welcome to the Forum
  12. General Chat section is probably the most suitable
  13. I believe Safe Guard is a sister company of Scenic. As above, Scenic will insure a converted van. I seem to recall Safe Guard (at that time) wouldn't, but did refer me to Scenic.

How DO you keep your machine so pristine ? Bon Scotage !
  15. Hello Trevor, Welcome to the Forum. Nice to have a new member from so far away. I hope some of our members are able to help you with some suggestions. Good Luck.
  16. Agreed. Unfortunately, Alphies prior to 2006 (July, I believe) are not 'seen' as compliant by the UK authorities (whether they are or not).
  17. The Congestion Charge and ULEZ are not the same. ULEZ is about emissions. Congestion is about location; a surcharge (if you like) intended to deter entry into congested areas, thereby lessening the congestion !
  18. I believe the Theatre System has amplifiers (and goodness knows what else) all installed under the passenger seat. Some, or all, of that could be missing. Are the buttons push buttons to on and off ? My guess is the controls have been disconnected as the Japanese owner has removed some form of upgrades. Sorry, I have no definitive solution.
  19. Yes, the lifting off the footbrake is also a point of interest. I have no statistics to support my view; but many drivers involved in a minor rear end will brace themselves against the footbrake and steering wheel autonomically. Often, but not of course always, the driver will be aware that the rear impact will occur; as they themselves just performed a sudden or emergency braking action. I guess the real point is that, ignoring outlandish bad practice, drivers should use whichever technique that provides most control of the vehicle. Stalling at a junction can, sometimes, create the very minir accident we all hope to avoid. I confess that many, many years ago I rear ended a car at a roundabout. They drove off, I looked to see if it was clear and drove off too. They had changed their mind and stopped ! I have been retired many years now,
