  1. Have the rear axle mounts/links been replaced lately ?
  2. Check out the photos; there's lots on here
  3. The symbol is for your side looking (peep and creep) front camera. It is switchable from the steering wheel and the head unit. However, I don't recall ever seeing mine light up ! Is it green or yellow ? I suggest you clean the front lenses.
  4. Nine litres is two gallons, which is more than many cars have low fuel notification for.
  5. When you have about 9 litres left.
  6. Have you tried Northstar Conversations on the Isle of Wight ? They are the only company I know that produce/use swivels that I know, and that's for Gen 1 vehicles, and they don't fit the middle row. My guess is Gen 3 is a little too young for them; but worth a phone call.
  7. You could fit a battery isolation switch; will kill any current; even the cooler if you have one ! Silly idea perhaps. or, have a larger battery fitted.
  8. The size and thread should be easy to find. Any decent auto shop should be able to give you one. The only issue I would consider is the strain that the bolt needs to endure. Depends on what you intend to fit to your roof rack.
  9. On your model ? Yes.
  10. It's there to warn pedestrians you are reversing
  11. Who supplied the roof bars ? Ask them. Otherwise you will be left guessing
  12. Just to add a little:- A typical Japanese male weight is 70kgs A typical Japanese female weight is 62.5kgs. I put Y rated tyres on my Jaguar XJR, and, try as I might, I just cannot get the Wild Cat to 186mph ! Seriously, I think this table is very helpful for members. IMHO, weighbridges are OK, but I think vehicle manufacturers use a (four wheel) rolling road with strain gauges (at each corner) to confirm front to rear, and side to side, weight distribution. And, of course, towing changes all the readings. Please consult other threads for towing !
  13. Ensure your starter battery is fully charged. Check the integrity of the battery terminals and leads.
  14. Hello Adrian, Welcome to the Forum. Have you checked the Buy and Sell section ?
  15. Hello Stephen, Welcome to the Forum.
  16. Check the obstruction sensor for cleanliness.
  17. Behind the passenger lower glove box. Glove box needs to be removed; easy, but there's a knack to it ! Filter very easy to change.
  18. Hello Billy, Welcome to the Forum.
  19. My understanding is that prior to the Gen 1 facelift, 2005, your machine will not be, officially, compliant; whether it is or not.
  20. Just a small caution for Gen 1 owners. I knowingly bought some struts for a Gen 2 from AliExpress, as Gen 1 were not available ! The Gen 2 didn't fit ! My fault, not AliExpress. Amazingly, Toyota can, could, still supply the K type for my van, but at 200 pounds each ! My tail gate is electrically assisted, and I experience some juddering. My dilemma ? What is the cause, motor or struts ?
  21. I am no authority on this subject, nor will I be, and I have no intention of towing; as opposed to having a tow bar mounted bike rack. I do not have a tow bar. Having read the information in the link I would suggest, imho, that there are three issues 1) Is it safe ? 2) Is it legal ? 3) Is your insurance valid ? I cannot answer any of these questions ! I respectfully suggest all members intending to tow read the link that Andrew has supplied. It is not based on some individual's opinion, i.e. a rumour ! It seems to be a (somewhat) official stance. I will check my VIN, but only to check the Gross Vehicle weight. My VIN has no gross vehicle weight. In fact, no weight information at all ! From the JPNZ Owners Manual, my vehicle weight is 1910kg. A 4wd is 100kg heavier. Both values are for Gen 1. The Owners Manual is not clear (to me) on whether this is dry weight, wet weight, or any other qualification. Perhaps a member with experience of towing, not necessarily with an Alphie, can shed some more light on this situation. Food for thought, on another line of thought. When towing, with any vehicle, does your insurance need to know that you intend to tow? Do they need to know what you are towing (caravan, boat, horse, etc), and the value of that trailer combination ?
