  1. I'm sorry to contradict Chris.ac here. Either Chris may have made a small error, or a small typo. If a typo, 2007 should read 2005. My 2006 V6 is ULEZ compliant according to the TFL website. I did use my registration to confirm this. Other cities may have different requirements.
  2. Some of the larger companies are planning to withdraw from supplying LPG. Some have already withdrawn. So there is a trend. However, I would have thought, living where you do, in a large conurbation, supplies should be available for quite some time yet. Check out the major company websites, Shell, BP, Exxon (Esso), etc; even the supermarkets. Most will exit the market after providing some reasonable notice. One other point to consider, is how long you expect to keep the vehicle ?
  3. I think you can look up any charges on the TFL website, if harrow falls with their area.
  4. Hello Rach, Welcome to the Forum
  5. I agree with Geralt and WD40, but would just like to point out that WD40 produce more than one product.
  6. Hhmm. Very interesting. Worth a read, imho, if you tow. Seems to refer to towing, as opposed to bike racks mounted on tow hitches. Having a tow hitch cannot be illegal but, in some cases, using it might be ! If it is ambiguous to us, is it ambiguous to the Police and the Courts ? Glad I don't tow a trailer.
  7. Sorry, I forgot to reply. Try Fuel Lagoon.
  8. Hello Sharon, Welcome to the Forum. Since Brexit I am confused about how UK Taxes operate in Northern Ireland, and what is taxable and what is not ! Have you seen the vehicle yet ? Have you had an AA or RAC Inspection ? Is the vehicle already registered in the UK ? Does it have a current MOT ? If buying from a business you will have to pay VAT, which should be included in the price. Make sure. Are you buying from a registered dealer that is a registered limited company ? You MUST get a VAT receipt for safety. You need to talk to HMRC in Ireland to be sure. Imho, you will not be liable for Customs; any due should have been paid already. BUT, if buying from a business you will have to pay VAT, if buying privately you will not. If buying from a dealer you will have the normal Consumer Law protection, If buying privately you will not. Indeed only companies and individuals registered with HMRC can (legally) charge VAT. Hope this is helpful in raising questions. Talk with HMRC or visit their website, just to be sure.
  9. is the seat 'stuck' in its normal position for travelling ?
  10. As Pete says above. The windows are easy to reset, if that is what is needed. If you have a moon roof, you may need to do the same to reset that. Much to my surprise, there is a section on these seats in the JPNZ manual (Recommended for all Gen 1 owners). However, there is no mention of Welcab in the text. I will have a good read of your problems, and the Owners Manual, asap and contact you privately. I cannot copy the pages into here due to copyright infringement regulations.
  11. Try NorthStar on the IOW. They certainly do (or did) them for the Gen 1 models.
  12. Hello Glenn, Welcome to the Forum. I expect you will get a reply Chris.ac from on this. In the meantime you read his replies to threads on the subject.
  13. Hello Regina, Welcome to our UK Forum.
  14. Hello Huw, Welcome to the Forum.
  15. The dreaded VAT is payable on imported goods. There may be a lower threshold that I am not aware. I import items from Germany quite often. Sometimes I get charged VAT, sometimes I don't ! The value tends to be between 100 and 200 euros. Unless goods are shipped through a HMRC authorised 'channel'(i.e. tax collector) payment is often required before delivery. Through the authorised channel, my goods are delivered and then I receive a separate tax bill from the importer. So, don't be surprised if the goods ultimately cost more than expected. VAT is levied on shipping costs too. VAT is normally charged by ebay when necessary; so there should not be surprises there.

Hello Michael, Welcome to the Forum. MFU or NFU ? HAPPY CAMPARDING.
  17. Hello Rob, Welcome to the Forum. I think you'll find your cam belt will never need changing; you haven't got one. The cams are chain driven.
  18. Harry, Thanks for these suggestions I don't really notice it anymore ! I take it for granted. It is not severe, just annoying as it waggles. I'll try what you suggest but have my doubts how meaningful the test is. For the benefit of other readers. The tailgate is connected to the struts in the normal way. The motorised assist, via a 15 inch long rod, is connected to the tail gate quite high up in relation to the hinges. As the door is only assisted on one side, the nearside, that, in itself, could cause the waggle. However, I cannot believe Toyota allowed such an ineffective design to go to market. I could disconnect the rod but I am very cautious that the full load of the door will be borne by only the struts and , I, personally will need to take the excess load ! I may have my mechanic take a look as he will be able to carefully, and safely, prop the rear door open as we 'play'. I have previously oiled the struts and greased the hinges, but to no effect. Lubricating the struts is not made easy by having the rods, when extended, on the lower part of the assembly ! Your reply has piqued my interest again ....
  19. Hello Luke, Welcome to the Forum.
  20. We refuel too, as soon as the light comes on, whatever vehicle we are in. Better we all be safe rather than sorry. I don't believe E10 damages the fuel system, but I am no expert (on anything ! ).
