  1. Hello Steven, Welcome to the Forum.
  2. Hello Martin, Welcome to the Forum. I don't have a 2006 2.4L, but I do have the 2006 3L. Your keys look nothing like mine, nor do they look like anything those in the Owners Handbook I have (JPNZ). Are you sure they are the correct keys. I believed the facelifted version uses the 4D67 chip embedded in the key blank. Even when correctly cut , without that 4D67 chip it won't start the car. Hopefully, someone else has the same keys as you, and can help you.#Good Luck.
  3. Hello Greg, I think rear axle bushes are quite common problem on newly imported Alphies.
  4. Hello Greg, Welcome to the Forum.
  5. So sorry to hear you both have Covid. Thanks for letting us all know. Hopefully you didn't catch it at the Museum
  6. Welcome to the Forum. You will need to put on of the rear sets up to the side to create enough room for a dog cage. There is a dealer near Newquay where you could probably view various models. I will send you a PM.
  7. Hello John, I am not knowledgeable about the use of foam. However, my main concern would be getting to a place of safety. Tyres are not that expensive, and not all punctures can be repaired by the rubber plug method. I would be concerned about the cost of damaging my alloy wheel, rather than the cost of a tyre. That said, tyres are best renewed in pairs. More research required, I think ! Good luck whatever you decide.
  8. I have an electric tailgate. I am far from sure it would lift correctly with the added weight. It might, but I would assume it won't. Imho the electric tailgate is more a convenience (and it is) but does not use a high torque motor, just a lower torque motor to provide the assist. I would not fit a spare wheel to the front of your vehicle. It will effect your radiator cooling and may effect your crash crumple zone performance. Many members use the cans of foam to re inflate tyres, at least to get you somewhere where you can deal with the flat tyre more permanently.
  9. Hello Richard, Welcome to the Forum.
  10. I replaced my battery earlier this year. Old one was OK, but only OK. My model uses the Calcium Lead version, which has a slightly higher output voltage. Still need to keep it well charged though. As others have said, always suspect the battery first. When you know that is in tip top condition you stand a much better chance of finding the real problem.
  11. It was thought that blue screens were 'more kind' to the eyes. Apparently, current thinking is the opposite. News PCs reduce the amount of blue light emitted to reduce eye strain !
  12. Hello Michael, Welcome to the Forum.
  13. I'm confused. Who watches the screens attached to the rear seats. Seems like modifications without sense.
  14. Generally speaking, back in the day, many systems were interchangeable between NTSC and PAL, and vice versa. The use of 'international' integrated circuits facilitated this; but finding how to switch from one standard to the other was not easy. Finding out how to make the change was usually very difficult. DVD players were a case in point. Region 1 and Region 2, etc. Rather like todays TVs that can decode any international standard. All down to International Marketing and which regions will pay a premium price to get the latest technology first (ie. before anyone else).
  15. I have a remote (somewhere!), but not sure what it is for. I assume the HDD set. I'll grab a photo tomorrow; but mine is an earlier model.
  16. Agreed, but the lower the sidewall the harder the ride. I love the ride on my machine. I don't even use the H TEMS system to adjust the ride settings.
  17. Please let us all know what your fix was for a stubborn starter.
  18. The papa smith guide (above) is the type of guide I have previously recommended. Please don't overlook the Wheel Offset column
  19. Unlikely to be the key as the engine eventually starts and runs.
  20. Hello Robert Welcome to the Forum. Probably your battery needs a really good charge Winter is coming and we all need to ensure our batteries are fully charged.
  21. Hello Simon Are we talking of the pole that is fitted to the nearside front bumper? They appear to very rare on Alphies. Just a thought If it isn't in the EPC is probably is not an OEM part.
