  1. Hello Joanna, I have a later version than you; but find it difficult to believe that Toyota would engineer your seats this way. Are you sure the seats are fully locked when in the seatback upright position; but unlocked when the seat backs are lowered ? If so, hopefully other members can help you out with advice. Have you had the van for long. Or are you just JoKing ? Sorry, couldn't resist !
  2. Did you check for the 'thimble' and the steering wheel switch ? I'll get a snapshot of mine for you.
  3. Hello Gerry, Congratulations on your imminent Alphard ownership.
  4. Hello Bom, Welcome to the Forum.
  5. The 'Guy in Topsham' is probably Joseph at Topsham Car Sales. He has been importing Bongos for ages and Alphie for almost as long.
  6. Hello Ken, Welcome to the Forum
  7. Hello Gerry, Welcome to the Forum.
  8. Hello Clare, Welcome to the Forum. Sorry your recent experiences have been so bad you feel the way you do. Hopefully, now your Alphie has new batteries it will provide you with wonderful experiences for many years to come.
  9. Hello Chris, Welcome to the Forum.
  10. Chris.ac is well informed on the Series 2 and electrics. Hopefully he will read your post and offer some help on the 'English option', if he can.
  11. Hello Pete, Welcome to the Forum. I'm so sorry to learn your friend feels that way about her purchase. For the benefit of other potential buyers please advise :- Is her conversion a side conversion or a rear conversion ? What model year is the van, and what mileage has it covered ?
  12. Just to add to point 2. The Nav unit uses GPS. The Japanese satellites the system uses cannot be 'seen' from the UK. I did try a genuine Toyota DVD disc system; but it didn't work. Regarding point 4; Ben can be very difficult to contact. He prefers ebay, I cannot remember his moniker. Search for ben hau on this forum and you should find it. beanbean280r at a guess. Good Luck
  13. All the 2.4 engines are in-line fours. The V6s are 3.0 litre and 3.5 litre
  14. Gen 1 V6 (until 2008) has a belt; the later Gen 2 V6 has a chain, I believe.
  15. There is a Google translate app for phones, but it is tedious. Some of the later head units can be set to English I have an earlier model; so cannot help. I'm sure you'll get help from later model owners.
  16. Hello Stewart, The keys are available on ebay. You need the 4D67 version. It will need to be cut and programmed to the car. Replacing the 'guts' may work; but a new key blank is less than 20 pounds.
  17. Hello Wadez, Welcome to the Forum. Is it the original OEM headunit. What headunit do you have.
  18. Hello Dave, Welcome to the Forum.
  19. Hello again Erica, Did you read my personal email to you ?
  20. Hello Mary, Your question is one of the most asked on this Forum. May I respectfully request you search for Radio Replacement, and similar, on this Forum. The search box is at the top right on your home screen
  21. The JPNZ Owners Manual is very useful. It also explains the location of the fuse boxes.
  22. Hello Glenn, Welcome to the Forum
