Hi Everyone.
Hi there. We got a handbook from JPNZ Manuals. Have a search on Amazon. The Vellfire 2008-2011 is part number FRO3009, pretty sure the alphard one is available. Decent quality although the diagrams are a little small and difficult to see clearly. Regarding the head unit…….learn Japanese or download Google translate! Or depending on your head unit you can change it out completely. Hope this is almost all true and I’m sure if it’s not someone will correct me!

Fixing of Awnings
We’ll be testing a magnetic drive away at the weekend so will update. A couple have already used them. Also seems some are squeezing an awning strip on.

Solar panel advice
Solid roof for us I’m afraid.

Sat nav
I’ll try to be helpful but may well get it wrong….as far as I can work out, the fitted satnav only works in Japan as they use a different system. Options would be to change the head unit to get android or apple car play, but depending on the head unit you have, this might not be possible. You’re then down to having car play or android auto installed on your existing head unit via a wee box. Guy in Birmingham does this for around £350, which is a whole lot cheaper than a new head unit. Hopefully that’s been of some help, and if this info is incorrect then someone please correct me!

That went well 😂

Solar panel advice
Before I get the ‘look at the old forum posts’ message, I have and they’re not really helpful! if anyone has fitted flexi solar panels how did you get on with them? I’m looking at 160w panels charging to around 115 amp hours daily (decent days obviously). Would rather have real info on use than read ‘real’ reviews. Possibly upgrading to lithium leisure battery as well.

Hi all newbe looking for Insurance
We were a bit concerned seeing some of the prices quoted on here, mainly as this is a second vehicle so starting from 0 no claims on the vehicle. Adrian Flux sourced fully comp for the 2 of us for £285, through an LV subsidiary company. There are deals out there!

E10 Fuel Topic
I found that really interesting. So many different views on this dotted around everywhere from some saying ‘E10 never damaged my engine, it’s perfect’ to ‘if you use E10 you will wake up with a horses head in your bed and your van will be torched’. Trick now is finding E5 at a decent price, local supermarkets no longer stock, although I did spot it cheaper that diesel at an esso garage.

Drive away awning
Agreed,I think if you have lovely weather light breeze it would be fine, but definitely peg down for safety.

Drive away awning
We’ll have it in our hands tomorrow, depending on which reviews you read they are great or rubbish. As the roof of flat I’m pretty confident that it’ll work, always have storm straps to throw over if it’s a bit windy! The strip comes with about 3 inches of material then the actual awning connection. Will update soonest.

Accidentally bought a vellfire today
Not quite in our hands yet, although we do visit her at weekends, it’s like waiting for a child to come home from a school trip, but in a good way…

Drive away awning
Late to the party on this. Just got a magnetic awning strip which would fit even with pop top.

Drivers Handbook
Just purchased a hand book for Vellfire 2008-2011, got to say I’m really happy with it. Some diagrams a little difficult to see, but having a flick through looks pretty good. FRO3009

Fitted curtains for 2004 Toyota Alphard
Will have a hunt, certainly sounds like a plan..

Driveaway Awnings
Magnetic strip on order, just need the van to stick it to now, not that we’re over excited and impatient or anything….

Fitted curtains for 2004 Toyota Alphard
Good stuff, never thought about the storage aspect and didn’t even know there was an outer all in one!

Radio replacement
If you did damage it accidentally (as I would certainly do due to my heavy handed complete lack of delicate skills) you can buy another for around £50/60.

Fitted curtains for 2004 Toyota Alphard
Would these fit a 2010 Vellfire? We’re trying to chose between curtains and stick up blinds at the minute..

Driveaway Awnings
To add to the above, we grabbed a 2.4x2.4 carpet from go outdoors for £32, fits perfectly.
