  1. Sorry Rojie did I imply that there were alphard diesels out there? I dont recall making a mistake when i originally set up details of my vehicle with alphardclub as it stands my alphard is a Sept' 2005 3.0ltr V6 (now remapped)
  2. Very simple really your choices are limited if you want a alphard for camping etc and you may end up installing a campervan conversion you might also want to use your Alphard as a tow vehicle for a caravan dont forget the Alphard is already a heavy vehicle so in this example the 2.4 version is just not powerfull enough, as this engine works harder at a given rev range than the 3.0ltr, yes still better fuel consumption but dont forget diesel fuel is dearer than petrol, do your research in the browser alphard topics you will find testimonies of this (never heard of a 3.5ltr alphard)?
  3. were in lancing you can have mine (3.0ltr) 2005 £20,000.
  4. north star convertors...very few custom specialist do DIY kits for alphards ( isle of wight)
  5. Have the above, excellent condition. Free to collector. From a toyota alphard 2005 3.0 7 seater.
  6. 3 spray cans of halfords underseal gel allowed me to do it myself with the help of a jack and two axle stands and yes the sea is 120 yards away from our back garden😁
  7. Great stuff but electronic adjustable system's are very expensive to put right when they go wrong but Hea! enjoy what you have Not sure why you think you need a kit to lower the ride height of your vehicle I have personally lowered seven cars in my youth you dont need a lowering kit cheapest way is just buy lowered suspension springs+ changing the strut top bearing and spring saddles.
  8. Interesting info, when i contacted Tein (not a independant dealer) they advised me due to my alphard being lowered by 50mm that they would not recommend their kit, they pointed out that their coilovers (as most are) designed to lower the vehicle ride height, even with the 'flex' system at max height adjustment my measurement's indicated the vehicles ride height would still be too low, indication of this is the vehicle bottoms out when hitting a pot hole of more than 3" deep .....hence i need to change the struts bump stops but this will not long term cure the problem only a complete change of springs possible struts etc that is if you can find a parts supplier whos not trying to sell you rip off Chinese look -a- likes
  9. I didnt, vehicle came from jAPAN AS A REMAP (without any official paper work to confirm the remap power change) the 3.0ltr engine in these models originated from the old sports car toyota marketed sorry cant remember which model that was however I would have though 260+ would be possible but from my experience I dont believe the vehicle in standard form is up to increasing the BHP dont forget this vehicle was designed as a luxury people carrier which would require higher torgue with a small increase in BHP
  10. Great van/mpv, etc,etc but due to the lack of professional customisimg its not practical for serious conversion, from my experience, cost wise, poor after sales professionalisam too many 'fast buck wise boys' selling them I could go on, if you just want a very smart MPV that drives very nicely and a very reasonable purchase cost then this is for you
  11. Pretty good if you prefer a stand-up type fitting, this type of fitting has exsisted for quite a while now take a look at 'Northstars' conversion my issue is we dont all want pop-up roofs but would like a flat roof fitting awning which Fiamma and Thule have been manufacturing for several years........
  12. sorry no such beast as neither Fiamma or thule currently make wind-outs for this vehicle, you can get brackets that allow a wind out to be fitted ajacent to a pop-up type roof but if you dont want a P&P roof you will become stuck (brackets)...I have been reserching this issue for nearly a year and have made some proto types but still faced with the problem of a sloping roof .
  13. I should'nt if I were you, mine's lowered 50mm always bottoms out with pot holes and also loss of suspension rate if you have converted it to a campervan
  14. Sea front road over the bridge go through round-about towards worthing look to your left you will see white Alphard parked in drive (only one along here) mornings best for us
  15. High! were located in West Sussex (Shoreham district). There are many different versions of what is the workable within a confined space however, right now there are two popular styles of side kitchens the one that became the trench mark of the VW custom builders and the later one which the sink and gas rings sit behind the drivers seat back, this model is in my opinion more appealing, but I consider it to be a possible fire Hazard, the rear type of conversion is fitted across the rear of the vehicle I fitted this style into my Bongo ..... problem is with this style is that you can end up having to cook on the outside with the tail gate up and raining, it's all about choice
  16. Yes I can understand that, to me is the usage factor has also be considered of what your prepared to pay for instance I haven't used my built-in rear fog lights on my Kodiaq since I purchased the vehicle two years ago😎
  17. Why all of these posts regarding rear fog lights!! Here's my photo of this Topic, twin lights, fused/relay switched via a led rocker switch, fitted within the dash switches, compliments the 'back-side' of the vehicle, Simple, neat, not fussy
  18. Can I ask where is your nearest LPG Supplier as I live in West Sussex and the nearest supplier to us was nearly twenty miles away, I owned a motor home which I converted to Gaslow the worst thing I ever did...
  19. not if you buy the 'double arm' type reaches the edge of the dash ..(you wont find this in Halfords)
  20. Easy! Just mount it to the quarter side window with a sucker mount, if that's not what you want, get yourself a dash mounting disc from Halfords or the 'net'..don't forget to clean the dash area first, otherwise the disc will come away from the dash surface
  21. Photo albums show ' Hulkster77' towing with his Alphard why don't to post him the query😎
  22. Look at the THULE range. I understand there's a model in their range that would fit...as yet no Manufacture supports Alphards over ten years old
  23. Having fixed this problem on three different vehicles, I can advise you to pay the 'bucks' and purchase a 'Fin' shaped pre-amp roof aerial fitted as far away from the electronic interferences sources of the front dash area, no not cheap but if your really in ore of the poorly supported DAB this is the way to go
