  1. Can anyone recommend an after market body kit for my 2007 Toyota Alphard v series? Some kid drove into mine in Italy and insurance have paid out but figured rather than fixing current ones might as well get new ones Have about Β£2-3k to spend. Thanks
  2. Hi I have the following domain names for sale which would be perfect for starting a business with Alphards. Alphardcamperconversion.co.uk Alphardcamperconversions.co.uk Alphardconversion.co.uk Alphardconversions.co.uk I'm open to offers Thank you
  3. Hi, I recently purchased some spare keys which had the 4 bottoms but no chips. I placed the chips from my current keys in the new shell and went to Timpsons to have them cut. They guy was very reluctant and said they don't cut keys they don't supply although previously they told me they can't supply the key. Cut the story short he did it for cash Β£10 per key but no receipt or garuntee and if I came back it would be denied they ever did it lol The key goes into the ignition and turns the engine over but the engine will not fire up just turns over....is this due to the key being cut wrong or the metal being to thin etc
  4. Thanks for the info guys πŸ™‚ yes I have the 3.0 v6 daaamn she can move also the fuel gauge moves just as quick πŸ˜• I have just purchased new timing belt, water pump and brakes pads as well as service kit which included filters and plugs. Going into the garage next week hoping it's not going to cost a fortune especially with changing the belt. Will buy some braided brake lines asap. (Any recommendation or links) I got my parts from Jap Auto spares website based in Coventry. I'm going to get it undersealed too asap also contemplating a full candy white wrap on the car but was quoted over Β£3k so we shall see. We are relocating to Guernsey end of the year so don't want to spend a fortune on it just yet, (I think my Alphard will probably be the first one in Guernsey I should imagine) very small island.
  5. Thanks for the reply greatly appreciated and the info πŸ™‚ so I downloaded a translater app which you hover over words and shows you the English on your phone screen....worked a treat sorted my Bluetooth, deleted all the Japanese albums saved onto the HDD, added my own music onto the HDD. So my Alphard is the 2007 V series 3.0 V6 with electric moon roof and electric rear hatch (I've been told it's one of the rarer ones). Inside is pretty awesome, middle row of seats do 360 back seats can come off and to the side (guessing all Alphards have this feature) automatic gear box, really nice black dashboard. Electronic power side doors work off the key and botton inside also the boot opens from the key. Door automatically unlock if I touch the door handle as long as the keys are in my pocket, also have remote engine start. Having an LPG conversion end of the month and new timing belt, water pump and brakes down as well as a service next week. Also want to polish up the headlights looking a bit yellow.
  6. Thank you so much for that link really good information. I got mine from lakeside imports near Baisingstoke. Just downloaded a Google translate app which is handy because you can hover the phone screen over the Japanese words and it automatically translates on the phone screen, made using the media player far easier. Having an LPG conversion done end of the month as currently the beast is a gozzler!
  7. Hi, I'm looking to get mine converted to LPG so doing some research and spoke with a company who fit LPG and showed them this post and the pictures you have uploaded. Their reply below: (would like to know your take on their response) "Hidden filler behind the petrol flap does not comply additionally in my opinion is dangerous as they do not have a gas tight seal and do not have an enclosure on the inside and trunked venting to the underside of the vehicle. The install is not LPGA compliant and not on the UKLPG register so not something we will do. Insurance companies are pretty much insisting on registration these days."
  8. Hi, So I'm curious does anyone know why their are so many Alphards for sale at auction in Japan? Normally in the UK auction cars are either cars repossessed or stolen/recovered but owners not traced etc (I know you can also just buy second hand cars from auction too, normally cheaper) I brought my 2007 Alphard last week and was wondering it's history, found a small cube of glass under the carpet from what I suspect is the windscreen due to black silicon on the edge. I asked the garage I purchased it from he fobbed me off saying oh it can be anything maybe the last owner had a glass item in the car which broke lol (unlikely story) Got me thinking maybe it was in a crash or stolen and taken to auction, it was a grade 4 and I have the Jap auction sheet as proof. But does anyone know how the jap auctions work and why these cars are sold their?
  9. Yeah was so excited when I found this forum the website looks professional and easy to use compared to other forums i saw but just not much in the way of interaction from users. Think admin need to think about posting some engaging content to encourage users online.
  10. Awesome thank you so much πŸ™‚ I have fixed it now just needed new battery πŸ™ˆ however my actual key is very worn so need to buy new one from eBay and reprogrammed it so hoping the above also works for the chip key
  11. Joined this forum few days ago after buying my Alphard, posted several times but no one seems very talkative πŸ˜• waste of a good forum
  12. Hi, Does anyone know how to programme these smart fobs? My Alphard came with 2 of these and remote engine start fob. They don't work and I don't think are for my car but need to reprogramme them to work. Thank you
  13. I'm 31 with 9 years no claims just purchases a 3 litre v6 Alphard V Adrian Flux Β£1890 with Β£3000 excess Sky insurance (jap specialist) couldn't insure me. Mark Richards Β£760 Elephant Β£650
  14. Hi peeps, New owner just purchased a 2007 3 litre V6 Alphad V in White......damn she's pretty! Love the electric rising and closing boot. I was looking at buying one from Jalimports in Worcester but they are so rude and unhelpful (anyone else had dealings with them) saw many online reviews echoing this. Thankfully I found the one I wanted from a company called lakeside imports near Baisingstoke (again has anyone else used these guys?) I guess you guys have all heard these questions before but I shall ask all the same.... 1: how do we shut up that annoying voice? (Nothing racist just really annoying ha) 2: can I change the screen language to English? 3: why are the key fobs so worn on these Alphards? Garage said that's normal for them. How can I programme a new one? 4: I paid Β£9995 for it 67000 miles (did I over pay or is this about right? Grade 4 very clean. 5: how can I turn off the child safety lock. Every time I turn the engine off and want to open the side doors from the front I keep having to lean back and unlock the soding things. 6: lane detection system doesn't do anything? Is it broke or does it need setting up? (Not that i would ever need it but curious) 7: electric folding mirrors why dont these close when i lock the vehicle? They work when I'm inside and press the bottom but I would presume they should close when locking? 8: HDD....how can I access this and delete the files (really annoying music) 9: Bluetooth? 10: Sorry about all the questions! Thank you, Yusuf πŸ™‚
