  1. Many thanks Chris
  2. English translation of user manual has mistakes..best get to source of truth
  3. I might be headbutting Toyota site for long as it might be in Japanese? if you could point to it that might be much appreciated. I'm after Gen 2 Vellfire. Or pm link for drive doc?many thanks
  4. Is "boot" the rubber bit that's deteriorated? I was wondering if it can be a) ordered online and b) replaced without having to do massive surgery? Or some common tweak to fix this for next couple of years till the suspension hydraulic bits or springs needs changing when we have access to it..
  5. Looking at the suspension after removing the front wheel it seemed to be normal suspension. Only the rubber bit covering it seemed heavily deteriorated. I wonder if anything can be done to it? Cover it with something, if it's not easy to replace the rubber?
  6. No there is no such button. I'll pm you
  7. I see, that's interesting thought. Lowered suspension? Is not registered yet so can't tell the reg yet. I might ask some mechanic to look at the suspension and give his opinion..
  8. Body kit marked 1 interferes with the lack! Distance from ground is too low to put jack, even low profile one from costco. Anyone has this problem? Can you please recommend Jack that is low profile for body kit Alphard Vellfire and is bees knees! It is nightmare to not be able to use Jack to lift the car. Costco have in fact refused to install tyres as they say it is too low profile. Nightmare
  9. Wow that's like original Japanese manual. I'd love to get that. May be someone wants to sell it?
  10. I paid 375 for 18 inch
  11. Can't believe this hasn't caught attention of anyone with 18 inch factory fitted alloy wheels. Can someone please share picture from driver door for 18 inch alloys?
  12. That's the point of starting this thread. Glad it is helping people 👍
  13. Sorry Rojie there are zero specs on the advert and lexus store didn't share any too. I've ordered it as a gamble. Thanks for sharing yours. Someone said the lexus ones are mcguard too. Let's see. I'll update
  14. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255531369301 Please ignore the link it is official lexus store and I don't get paid. I bought this for my gen 2 Vellfire. Anyone knows if this will fit? Struggling to get anyone commit on if this will fit or not. Very hard to know without having it in my hand For wheel nuts I had to go to a local alloy wheels shop and order nuts that they say will fit and are genuine Toyota. Fingers crossed
  15. I'm torn between crossclimate and full on summer winter tyres. 99.99% of times in UK I'm going to be fine with crossclimate but if heading to Germany / Europe don't want to be stuck with tyre issues / police.
  16. My 20 series 3.5V-L can with 19 inch alloys and worn out tyres. Not smooth ride and too low. I wanted to replace them with 17 inch but managed to get OEM 18 inch alloy so will probably stick with them. 18" are 2 cms wider than 17, and that gives extra braking performance and road handling. So I'm thinking not to change them. I believe that car Vellfire 3.5 V L must be engineered to work perfect with 18 inch too, being OEM.
  17. Will this be acceptable for mot? I was told this issue not fixed can lead to mot failure, so looking for ideas. If you have done something like you suggested, can you please share picture so it is more clear. Hand drawn image can also be very useful. Thanks
  18. I think the 18 inch alloys on Alphards and Vellfires come as 235/50R18 but I'm not sure. Also the nnnx load and speed ratings are unknown on oem. A picture from driver door will settle the matter for good. Come one..anyone? 🤔
  19. Thanks Chris I think we will need lower spec model that comes with 18 inch alloy. I'm sure some members would have oem 18 inch. Let's wait 🤞
  20. Hi Rojie I've seen this and told by a seasoned Vellfire owner that it is known issue and Toyota are aware of it and leave designed space to fix attachment for it. Let's see what other members say. I don't know so much about it, just sharing what I seen
  21. I understand there is a common problem with broken headline plastic bit under the bonnet (please see the pic) and we can buy some attachment that goes between 1 and 2 to hold it. Anyone has solution for it?
  22. Also how important is it to keep to the load and speed ratings that Toyota gives on the driver door of the car?
  23. Hi guys what is your take on all season vs summer / winter tyre performance? I've personally been fan of dedicated summer and winter tyres. Swapping and rotations keeps tyres always in top shape/checked. But are likes of Michelin crossclimate almost better options, has the tyre technology moved on? Are summer and winter tyres becoming redundant? I know this is subjective and complicated topic but let's see what approach everyone is taking.
  24. Anyone with 18 inch oem alloys? What is default factory spec you have. Can you please share the picture of the car tyre spec on the door?
  25. Looks like different models have different oem tyres spec. Can you please share the tyre specs on right side driver door? I'll start Toyota Vellfire 2009 3.5 V L->
