https://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/store/home.php?cat=326 These guys said they do a Vellfire cover of "voyager" material (~£95 on eBay) and "stormforce" cover (~£195) that has two years warranty. Description of materials is in pic below or use the link. Any suggestion which cover might be better? FYI @Nigel Heyward

Also thinking of ordering this https://a.aliexpress.com/_EID0LRl Fancy fob cover

@Chris.ac the eBay seller you pointed to get cable and software from seems quite decent and helpful. Many thanks again So I understand the way to go about it is 1. Get cable and software 2. Get key fob and program it 3. Get the key blade cut. I've bought the cable and software https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124808047632 Next buying this fob https://m.aliexpress.com/item/1005003598907017.html They can cut the key blade too https://m.aliexpress.com/item/33030748490.html When we have all three, we might be in business. Best part of the eBay seller seems genuinely helpful if any issues with software. I'll feedback here and recommend based on my experience once I'm through this..

Thanks Chris, I've gone ahead with software purchase and just need to get the 5 button key from aliexpress (?) I believe. I was told we send them picture of the key and they send a pre cut key that we can program. Anyone experience with that? Is it suppose to be 312 MHz?

https://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/ these are the guys selling above cover on eBay. Looking at the detail there are different cover material and one on eBay is not the best for waterproofing and other material cover for Alphard Vellfire are not even available on eBay or their site. Infact their site doesn't list Alphard at all. ❌Might have to call them and request them to make one..another PITA.

Need to dig into fixes any look into forum posts @Rojie @Alphard Forum mods - will it be possible that we have a way of tagging posts that work as proven fixes? So one can find them bit quicker?

I'm glad it helped. This forum works on good will. Wish the format could be changed to something more helpful as it is all piled up info

Driver side door not opening fully issue also started. Toyota build golden era probably declined after 2000-2007..🐒

I've asked someone who does Fog lights install and he said the rear tail light conversion bulb is 921R Red 12V 21W Capless Push Fit Car Bulb To remind the original bulb there was KOITO JAPAN 921 12V W16W E4 2EL 8ZG Fog light after conversion is circled in picture below.

the rear bulb that was in my car that was taken out, and fog light bulb was put in its place, the original bulb says KOITO JAPAN 921 12V W16W E4 2EL 8ZG Picture is below:

Hi Lucy you are not alone! My story is I got fig light installation done and at first MOT was told the fog light bulb colour is not exactly right and might fail mot next time! So I need to source a red bulb that is I believe 'double filament". I have the bulb that came out from that spot originally. Let me post the pic here for information, though I understand one we need is different. I have contact to dig light installer and he should be able to help. I'll get back after speaking to him. By the way...Information is buried in this forum that is crying for method to some tabulated logical search method

For Alphard Vellfire second gen, so we need to apply any lubrication to the Channel through which the door might be moving? I had strange rough little grinding sound when opening one of the side doors.
-
Hi all Any suggested places to buy Winter / rain cover for second gen Alphard Vellfire? I'm told it should be bit sturdy and breathable so as to not stick to the car. I've come across couple on eBay but didn't want to link here and ask opinion before i get in breach of forum rules
-
Did you find any decent rain / winter cover for your Alphard / Vellfire? I'm wondering if second Gen Alphards and Vellfires have same cover? Can it be ordered from Ali baba? Can't find decent quality online in UK..

Winter Cover for Alphard Camper
Teekay replied to Will Speer's topic in Toyota Alphard Camper Discussions
Did you find any good winter / rain cover? -
That's amazing list of possibilities / things. I had given up on trying to do it myself but now I'm seriously seriously tempted! I don't want to sound like asking for being spoon fed, but if it were possible to compile a 'run sheet' with links to buy, few steps etc, that might make it super easy for many and give them confidence. In the meantime I'm going to do customary 'Google it yourself'. Thanks Chris much appreciated your superb pointers! Kudos

all windows open after returning to parked car.
Teekay replied to kendo's topic in Alphard Club Members Introductions
Problem with the format of this forum is there is no index or way to collate any information. It all sits there as a pile and somehow we hope people get to the right info. It’s better than being left all alone though -
Something strange just happened with my windows
Teekay replied to Alfie's topic in Toyota Alphard Camper Discussions
Can you link to the previous post here, might help someone -
Looks like most of this magic works for gen 1. Or gen 2 - 5 door key can be also bought on Ali express and programmed easily?

Tinted rear window and car dash cam - camera performance in dark
Teekay replied to Teekay's topic in General Chat
Thanks @chris.AC So many of Alphards and Vellfires are with tinted glasses. Many must use dash cams. Having camera recording behind tinted glass must work? Someone would have faced/ cracked this. For instance purposes Cameras are so common these days with so much to choose
