  1. We need not tried tested, recommended audio installers in UK. Ben hau Birmingham is not convenient for all. Please keep sharing recommendations
  2. Effort you made to investigate is amazing! Hats off
  3. For someone technical and having spare capacity this may seem trivial but most will not have the above or risk appetite to play with the car electronics. To be fair to benhau this is business and he is trying to keep all the IP close to his chest, how do ever trivial it may seem. I am probably not going to try anything on car myself and will have to either keep it in original state if possible, or get it done professionally so they know 100 percent what was needed.
  4. Cool Japan being nuked probably has this risk awareness more than is
  5. I don't have tons of experience, quite the opposite but I can't see why anyone would not like to see their carvx.jp report.. It's gold dust on milage recall annual usage etc. but if it was meant to be a joke, my apologies
  6. Hi would be interesting to know your first hand comparison of the two!
  7. Nice one If you can please re post this on Mega thread Alphard MPG. Thanks
  8. Apple carplay can have mouse / tracker with it? Please see the picture below. Anyone got this? Knows what it is? Been hau might know
  9. Thankyou Chris. I can see now that many drawings have makings to say from June 2009 production or before etc! Reading these diagrams is not my interest or forte so I didn't open them. I intend to keep hold for reading them if needed or to share with some mechanic to use. Ideally if there was a detailed guide in the form a website or softcopy where you can search, zoom, copy, share, that would be really good. That's the down side of jdm I suppose. Lots of digging and self help might be needed.
  10. Welcome Unless you convert it to lpg? Read posts on it, worth of daily. Check gas station proximity
  11. Can you please share what type of bulbs are these and where did you buy them? That's second generation 2.4L Alphard? But I assume for all second generation Alphard & Vellfire it might be same bulbs
  12. http://www.ledlights.org/FAQ/What-is-Cree-LED.html
  13. CREE are best led AFAIK. If i can find that make, I might change all bulbs I can in my van
  14. Glad it helps you 👍 Please also look at the option below. These are individual bulbs and we can get 10 on each side? Can these be fitted as part of the bumper? Last time I bought my led drl, I had exchanged messages with this seller and they were brilliant. By eBay standards I think they are proper sellers. These lift as below have "High Quality DRL Multi Shape Daytime Running Lights 10-LED CREE HQ-V20 D" the last bit v20 a b c d, not sure what the difference is. If anyone finds out please share. I'll try to mail / call them at some point. Individually fitted drl bulb can be effort but will look great. One from previous post are easy. Please note it's lighting / wiring will need to be done in a way the it connects to headlight wire. Moment you turn headlight on it turns drl off. I might be stating the obvious. Also I fitted a switch for drl, so I can turn it off if I wanted. In nighttime you might be parked somewhere and not need DRLs blasting pure white light
  15. https://www.auto-lighting.co.uk/product-eng-5678-High-Quality-DRL-Daytime-Running-Lights-5-LED-CREE-HQ-V6.html I think I have these - as these are CREE, I think quality was best. Also pic below is from eBay. I think I'll go for these.. May be slightly longer strip if possible. But 100 percent has to be CREE
  16. Not only for aesthetics, DRL have great utility IMHO. When drl concept arrived, I thought it was wasteful and stupid but with modern led - bullet proof and long life, it is a no brainer. I'll check the make of drl I had bought if I can find receipt. It has been excellent so far
  17. It was more for awareness that I asked. Thankyou I'm not inclined to do it myself at all. It is long drive to Birmingham that is not very attractive. I was thinking if he can do few bits in one go like say speedometer update, may be DRLs wiring, it might be worth the effort. Still exploring.
  18. Anyone knows how much benhau charges for car play on gen 2? Roughly? I suppose it is not business confidential
  19. I'm surprised Vellfires don't have led front side lights. But thankfully this might be easy fix. Also DRLs might be worthy update.. They do help on fast moving high traffic
  20. Thankyou for confirming this. It is minefield to find right bulb otherwise. I can see many from AUXITO and ARGO on eBay like below AUXITO T10 501 W5W 13SMD LED SideLight Bulb Canbus Error Free 6500K Super Bright Would like up find some make similar in reputation like Philips Sony Panasonic etc so don't need to think twice about quality but I'm afraid most of these led these days tend to be like these unheard names. May be my ignorance. Any knows which make are good leds?
  21. Thankyou for sharing the tip about use of side lights Do you mind sharing the LEDs bulb you used for side lights? I suppose Gen 2 Alphard Vellfire have all led bulbs in front and back by default? Anyone? I personally had led DRLs installed in couple of other old cars and had even switch to turn them off if I wanted. Those lights are so Bright and working flawless after 7 years. Needed wiring and switches but are great.
  22. @Jason coxif you had any more pics to share? That ben hau car airplay kit, how good is it? Is it worth it? Does touch screen work? Does surround sound and camera work ok? Wish there was a YouTube video on this by cutothechase!
  23. Often it is said about this settlement in the fuel tank - would it not be fair that service should include a routine to clean it by taking all the fuel out, may be minimum once in five years? Dark underbelly no one wants to do anything about. We might be low on fuel and struggling to complete the journey and the dirt from settlement may come up to f us up! Imperfections
  24. I thought all half decent oils now a days are fully synthetic by default. I was told always follow the oil spec that is on the engine oil cap and you can't go wrong. How to check what oil is in the car Already? Is there some way to test at home without taking it to a garage?
