  1. Hi Guys thanks for the comments.mot picked up wheel alignment being off and I got the front wheels realigned a few weeks ago. It seem to have gone away again today!
  2. Hi just slowing my alphard to a stop today and noticed a shuddering at low speed. If I continue to crawl along shuddering continues until I increase speed.Any ideas? Thanks
  3. Hi its seems to have gone back to normal now! Will see what happens. I got my cable directly from local toyota dealer (genuine part) and fitted it myself although it took about 4 hours. YouTube videos have some good tips on how to do it. Once cable is broken not much point in removing it! look at this and similar videos.
  4. Hi My 2003 alphard has just had cable replaced a few months ago. It closed ok at first but now seems to be only opening 75 percent of the way. Also sometimes it won't open unless I open the passengers door first.Any ideas?

  7. Hi Rojie, thanks Yes. I also may need to move switch for electrical curtains. I have located 4 screws inside console. I will do some exploratory work before I decide. I have previously fitted a seat to a granvia which was also tricky, Will let you know what happens!

  10. Hi Ken, I have just replaced my passenger side door cable. You need to ascertain if it is the cable that's broken by looking at the cover under the rear side window at the bottom. I bought a cable for 329 from my local Toyota dealer and took me 4 hours to fit. look at a lot of YouTube videos like this .

  12. Hi I have a 3 litre 2003 which I want to make the passenger seat swivel. problem is center console which has my switches for electric curtains.! Any ideas 💡
  13. Thanks Chris I will have a look for those. There is a flashing red car symbol that comes on in the dash but only sometimes. I wonder have the ultrasonics been turned off ? thanks
  14. Hi Rojie I think you might be right. My old granvia had sensors but it was an aftermarket alarm.
  15. Hi Guys I have a 2003 3 litre alphard but U cannot see if there are any internal ultrasonics for the alarm in the car. I leave my dog in the car but no alarm goes off. Any ideas ? thanks Gerry
  16. Hi Ken That could get the case U am not sure. I have just bought a 3 litre and 2003 alphard and find it drives great. Only problem was the electric door on passengers side not working. I was able to buy Toyota oart fir 329 and fit in a few hours.

  19. Ok Guys thanks for that. I had a bad experience with a 1.8 toyota petrol engine which literally self destructed. I am looking for a 3.0 anyway because as you say t I drove the 2.4 and it is underpowered.
  20. Hi Guys my name us Gerry and I am in Belfast. I have a granvia at the moment but I am looking for an alphard to convert. I was looking at the 2.4 litre alphards but I have seen reports of excessive oil burning with these engines. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks
