  1. But I spend all my time editing and rewriting my 'To Do' lists !
  2. Hello David, Welcome to the Forum.
  3. Lee does provide an absolutely excellent 'service' for The Club. We all recognise his efforts. Thanks to Lee, yet again.
  4. Where did you get the part number from ? Toyota/Alphard/epc.com is a good place, or there is a part finder in the Forum. Ordering from Toyota Direct you will need the correct part number first; they won't find a JDM part number for you ! Some members are very lucky, as I am, as their local official Toyota Dealer will find the part number for you and order it. Slightly more costly than from Toyota Direct, but far less risky.
  5. Seems OK now. Thank you. Just makes it much easier for members to know how to help you.
  6. Hello Trevor, Welcome to the Forum.
  7. Please add your vehicle type to your profile.
  8. All you do is click on Smurfs large Pale Blue icon and press Message.
  9. I doubt it is a camera, or Lane Assist, which I have on an earlier model; does not use a screen camera, unlikely to be distance radar, as that is usually at the front bumper / valance. Could be a rain sensor / autowipe. My earlier model has neither ! Could be a light sensor perhaps for auto headlight dipping. Let us all know when you figure it out.
  10. Yes , Picasso, actually Lee. Search the Leadership section, or membership section, and click on the blue initial 'button'. Send him a personal message. Is it the sump pan, or a main housing. Presumably the engine dumped all its oil when this happened ! Did the engine seize ?
  11. Hello Chris, So sorry to hear of your misfortune. Should you decide to replace your engine Picasso can, almost certainly advise you on a mechanic that can remove and replace the engine. Quite close to you too. Perhaps he can even suggest where to search for a replacement. What, exactly, is the issue with your current engine? I can't see from the photo ?
  12. I have a dash mat. Carefully located they will not obscure the light sensor.
  13. I agree entirely with Steve. 17k is a lot for a conversion. Of course, it depends on your specification, although some convertors adopt the attitude of 'this is what we do. take it or leave it". One thing to consider is the compromise between an experienced convertor with a significant financial turnover and therefore legally compelled to charge you VAT; hence, effectively a 20 percent surcharge, or a qualified carpenter / electrician that will not be obliged to levy VAT. The latter may not have the experience, and competence you will need ! I located such a rare, talented craftsman, who, unfortunately no longer undertakes conversions. I could provide you with the details, privately, on the understanding that he will almost certainly decline your business. Were he to agree to undertake your work I expect you would save 50 percent of a 17k budget. A key decision is pop top or not; as they are expensive. My guess would be 5k minimum !
  14. Hello Pete, have you made any modifications to your machine recently ? Chris.ac is a whiz on most things electrical, and is located very close to you. He will probably respond to this quite quickly, but if not you could send him a Personal Message.
  15. Hello Stephen, Welcome to the Forum. To my knowledge there are not many flatpack options available. I cannot comment on your recent model, but there is a vendor in North Devon for flatpacks for previous versions.
  16. As Lee pointed out; what you are trying to achieve is no simple task. My advice, forget Cruise Control; you really should not need it with that V6 purring away. Wiring diagram ? As Lee states, cruise was not fitted prior to (late) 2005; so there is no wiring for it. Gen 1 facelift yes, original Gen 1, no.
  17. Hello Kevin, Welcome to the Forum.
  18. Hello Elaine, Welcome to the Forum.
  19. Hello Debbie, Welcome to the Forum. Awnings and rails is one of the most popular topics in this forum. Search for Awnings at the top right of your home page.
  20. Hello Alan, Welcome to the Forum. I am not aware of any meeting that has been arranged (yet) by the Club this year. But there is plenty of help, advice and comment on this forum. So you have come to the right place; lots to read about !
  21. Hello Noel, Welcome to the Forum. Thank you for this procedure. I believe it has been previously requested.
  22. There is a Recall Status checker in the Technical Section of the Forum.
  23. Try inputting the vehicle registration number into the DVLA. Of course, it will only be accurate if recall details are passed to the UK. I believe Toyota can check for you but may not be a quick process. I don't have a CarVX report, but other members do; hopefully you will receive some replies soon.
