Velfire 2010 Series 20 - Seat Runner Removal
Firstly, Do you have a 10 series, as in your profile, or a 20 series ? Your profile needs to be accurate or members will not be able to provide relevant guidance ! I believe on either, you have to partially remove the rails and slide the seat carriers out. Refitting, as they say, is a simple reverse process. The good news is if you have a series 10 that is done from inside, the not so good news is if you have a seies 20 it is done from underneath the van.

Hello Martin, Welcome to the Forum. 1) Google Translate on your phone. 2) eightseaters.blog.spot (or something similar) is excellent for the HDD unit if you have it. In English, very helpful on the HDD unit. Which buttons to press, etc. 3) The language cannot be changed to English. 4) Don't expect the sat nav to work or the radio except Radio 2; or the TV. 5) Region 2 DVDs may work, but not while driving. CDs should work (and be saved automatically to the HDD if you have one) 6) 2005 is a crossover year from Gen 1 to Gen 1 facelift; which depends on when it was manufactured. 幸運を

Rear Diff coupler bearing disintegrating. ADVICE APPRECIATED
Hello Ashley, Welcome to the Forum.

Crank but no start.
But if it is the key at fault, my guess is you will have no choice but to get another. The keys are less than £20ish. If you can programme it using the previously mention process, it is a cheap get you running approach.

Crank but no start.
Yes. there is a sequence process that works for some and not for others. I strongly suggest you buy another blank, at least one; and have it programmed by an auto electrician. It won't be cheap, but neither is being locked out of your vehicle if you lose your only key. 4D67 is the chip type, but they are not battery operated. Hopefully the problem is the key, and not the ignition part of the immobiliser. Another potential problem is that, when I had my sets of keys made, a master key was required, which, thankfully, I had. The auto-locksmith that did mine made additional master keys; more expense but more peace of mind. Good luck.

Alphard Handbook for Sale
Hi Will, With the greatest of respect, you are considering buying a vehicle over 20 years old, and intended solely for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM). You cannot expect it to be a UK spec vehicle. Having said that, if you buy it, you will be surprised how sophisticated it will be.

Alphard Handbook for Sale
If it is the JPNZ Owners Manual it is well worth having/ No it won't. You almost certainly can't.

Newbie.
Check the Servicing section for a recommended garage near you.

Fuel economy
No, it is not to do with reading accuracy; as you say they are all an indication, that is all. I think it is to do with the petrol recirculation system ! Chris is the expert.

Front brake upgrade
The handbook cites free play, i.e. no pressure increase as 1 to 6mm. Distance to floor when pressed with 490N should be greater than 59mm. Hopefully, this data may help you assess the brake travel. I believe comparing the brakes of any vehicle against any other dissimilar vehicle is not that meaningful as there are so many variables. So owners, I believe, have fitted braided brake pipes to improve the feel. A serious point, check you have the driver's seat adjusted correctly to your physical characteristics.

Be cautious 'brimming' the tank. For more information you will need to search Chris.ac for his explanation as to why it is not best practice.

Hello J, Welcome to the Forum. You are very fortunate living on IOW; not least of which it is a very nice place to reside. Also, it happens to be the location of one of the best Alphard conversion the country.

What does this do?
As Paul says, it appears to be the Clearance Sensor (as noted on the label). The function is known as the Sonor on the air conditioner dash panel. The function is switchable, and the distances adjustable (at least on the HDD unit).

Headlight lenses
Well done. It is worth all the effort once done. At one time, I was trying to consider how to make some removeable covers for mine, but didn't pursue it.
