  1. Agreed.
  2. Hello Martin, Welcome to the Forum. Search the Forum for Head Units
  3. But wired straight across the battery ? I hope not. In series with one connection, perhaps, but there are mush better, and safer, ways and devices exactly for that purpose.
  4. Can I respectfully request you add the details of your mechanic to the servicing section. There is a small section for a mention for individuals and businesses who are competent to work on Alphards; yours would be a worthy addition.
  5. Could be a load to test the battery. Better to get it tested professionally and replaced if needed.
  6. Hello Pete, You can sell through this Forum, but there are minimum requirements for information you must provide. Please read the requirements and ensure your advert includes all of them, otherwise your topic will be deleted. Sorry, but that is the policy. Photos are not a requirement but are likely to be helpful.
  7. Do you mean the light by the shifter, or perhaps the one in the dash panel ?
  8. I have an earlier model. the footbrake does not have automatic release. I do have a vehicle with auto brake release and I love it. Keep vehicle in drive while waiting, unless your anticipated wait is a very long one. You should be able to 'hold' the vehicle on an upward slope while waiting for traffic lights, or gently use your left foot on main brake once stopped.
  9. New to driving an automatic ? Keep your left foot firmly on the floor at all times (apart from operating the parking break). Preferably, keep it back against the front face of the drivers seat. You will find this much harder than you think. Should you use your left foot on the non-existent clutch pedal; you will create some 'excitement' immdiately behind you. (Similarly, if you stamp on the footbrake whilst driving). The good news. You will get used to not using your left foot very quickly; whch just leaves you with the opposite issue when driving a manual. Take care, and enjoy your Alphie
  10. Your normal (half cut) keys will need the 4D67 chip inside them. The chip will be there, hopefully the correct chip. The earlier model had a different chip. The smart keys I have do not operate the igintion immobilser. An auto locksmith should be able to program your keys provided you have a suitable master key to copy !. I have read there are manual procedures that enable a normal key to be paired with the igintion. Plenty of reading for you to do within this forum.
  11. Hello Chas, Welcome to the Forum.
  12. Hello Sunesh, Welcome to the Forum.

  14. Hello Gavriel, Welcome to the Forum
  15. Hello Ricky, Welcome to the Forum. What colour ?
  16. Hello Nicki, Welcome to the Forum. Are we talking inner button or outside lever ? Do the buttons on the dash work OK ? There are a couple of camper suppliers in Newquay. Are you anywhere near them. There is also Dyernostics (sic) in Bodmin who is Toyota trained. Good Luck.
  17. I think 60 A is OK, but it is essential for all Alphie owners to ensure their batteries remain fully charged for the colder nights and winter journies. All that current load on short journies can ask too much of the alternator. I maintain a spare battery on charge at home, just in case, and carry jumper leads for when not a home.
  18. Should be OK, but my research has the offset at 45.
  19. Click on Picasso's circular P emblem (above), and then select Message from the top of his home page.
  20. Hello Judy, Welcome to the Forum.
  21. These do not look like OEM Alphard wheels. Be sure to check the size AND the offset and PCD.
  22. These do not look like standard Alphard wheels. Be sure to check size AND offset, plus PCD. Hello Simon, Welcome to the Forum
  23. Autoglass will do it all for you, assuming your Insurer is paying, otherwise you may need to remortgage your house. I paid £75 excess. Autoglass also quoted close to £1800 for a private fitting. Picasso bought a screen for abour £450, I believe, and had it fitted privately. A crack is not an automatic MOT fail, but, believe me, the crack will lengthen until it does fail. Get it replaced asap.
  24. Please change your vehicle type in your profile; oherwise you will receive help that is totally irrelevant.
