  1. I am extremely happy with mine. I would call them mid budget, although I don't remember their cost. East to fit, easy to stow, very good blackout. They don't insulate as many internals do; but I didn't need that feature. Neither do they leave witness marks after removeable.
  2. When I travelled frequently in Europe, not in an Alphie, I used SAGA. Multiple trips of indefinite length cover, but it was an all inclusive policy; not just breakdown.
  3. My VIN is on the nearside B pillar. It features the model number and serial number, as Paul notes above.
  4. My reaction is to look for another. Some garages are excessively strict, (does it impress the DVLA), but the history could be more 'caring'. 120k is a lot of miles, but it is a Toyota. You will also need someone competent to work on it, if needed. As it is a hybrid, I would be worried about replacement battery cost, and where to have that work performed. Read Michael Brown's thread regarding battery cost. Based on what I have read about early Hybrids, I would not buy it. You ought to be able to get a Gen 1 facelift for not much more budget, albeit without a pop top. Good Luck, whatever you decide
  5. Glad to have you aboard. The Forum is about mutual help and understanding. We look forward to contributions especially on your new Vellie.
  6. Hello Tei, We cannot read any of this history. What is the registration of the vehicle ?
  7. Low beam with AFS D2S Low beam without AFS D2R
  8. Hello Loz, Welcome to the Forum.
  9. Hello, Apart from the cost, I would not be too worried about the speed rating provided you meet the OEM minimum. According to my Owners Handbook, and it does depend on the model you have, H or W. What some members do is fit XL tyres. They will stiffen the ride slightly, but offer less roll when cornering.
  10. Hello, I tried to this tidy this for you. but I think I may have messed it up. Sorry. If you could start again, I will delete this entire thread.
  11. From memory you just lower each window, using the switch in the door for that window (not the drivers door switches). Down and up, possibly a couple of times each. If you have a moon roof you may need to do that too.
  12. Thank you for letting me know. Sorry I was unable to help.
  13. Hello Krzysztof, Welcome to the Forum. You are very fortunate to have such a recent vehicle. I suspect you may be a pioneer of this model in the UK. The only company I know of that installs rotating seats in the front (in earlier models) is North Star IOW. Perhaps you should give them a call to enquire. I would be very cautious of universal plates that are designed for VWs.
  14. So will you please change your vehicle type ?
  15. Ex(clusive) Motors, formerly Japanese MPV Specialists should know.
  16. Hello Efbert, Welcome to the Forum. Firstly check your battery is fully charged, that the connections are very secure.
  17. A wooden dipstick, perhaps. A kebab skewer
  18. Hello Modhgal, Welcome to the Forum. There is a section in the forum where members can recommend garages that they used successfully for their Alphards. Check it out, there may be a recommended garage near you. You can always try your local Toyota dealer. Most will not work on imports, but some will.
  19. Hello Kevon, Welcome to the Forum.
  20. Don't be sorry. We are all learning everyday. By the very nature of the Forum, responders never know the level of knowledge / understanding the person they are trying to help has. What ground clearance do you currently have ? 160mm is about normal.
  21. You may wish to consider an alternative solution, as I did a couple of years back. I came across some wedge shaped 'cushions' for use in hospitals to change the inclination of the patients. The set was of 3 or 4 units with differing profiles, providing various combinations of inclined angle. I didn't proceed with the purchase, on ebay or Amazon, so cannot provide photos.
