  1. Hello Jenny, Welcome to the Forum. Would you like me to move this to the sales section ?
  2. Sorry. I did not check them. I should have.
  3. Mine was a very reasonable amount, until I had it converted. Maybe they are not interested in Alphies anymore !
  4. Try Romahome, they'll probably know.
  5. OK slow progress. There does seem to be yuutube video on how to change to English. Most of the later units can be changed. Try Navigationdisk. There are others too
  6. Hello again, I was reluctant to offer an opinion on the LCD panel. Clearly it could be jammed or even broken. Not helpful to you at all, I'm afraid I don't recall any other member having the same issue. I have a different unit so cannot help you. I will check my paperwork to see if I can find any info on your unit, but I am not hopeful
  7. Hi again Domino, As a generalisation the Japanese head units won't receive FM; just Radio 2 usually. They won't receive TV either as the UK and Japanese systems are different. Sat Nav won't work either as the head unit cannot connect to the correct satellites. If you replace the head unit, with some replacements you will lose the rear cameras and some steering controls; but not all replacements are so effected. Do your research carefully. The DVD should work but may need NTSC discs or s suitable set up. Not very helpful I know. Head unit replacement is a very popular topic on the Forum. Happy reading
  8. Hello Domino, Welcome to the Forum
  9. Hello Welcome to the Forum Victor Do you have a 02 to 08 or a 08 to 15 ?
  10. Hello Chris, I don't believe there is a 'recommended' head unit; but, hopefully, you are likely to receive several suggestions. Good Luck

  12. Hello Chris, Welcome to the Forum
  13. Hello Chris, Welcome to the Forum
  14. Happy Alpharding, - Eightseater.blog.com is very useful with the HDD head-unit.
  15. As a wild guess I wonder whether when your rear fog light fitted the switch and feed were hijacked ! I don't have the Theatre System. I believe it uses a standard HDD head unit but has extra amplifiers under the front passenger seat. Do you still have the original head unit? My guess is someone has been fiddling with the wiring. Be aware that the units have low power (100w) capacity anyway; so are only suitable for a small load. They are wired through the ignition. Could be the fuse has blown ? They can be damaged by inrush current so beware loads with high initial current draw. I am hoping it is the switch needs actuating ! But that won't explain your roof system.
  16. Hello Mark, Welcome to the Forum.
  17. Hi Penny, Welcome to the Forum. These manuals are excellent, and I recommend all owners have one. They are 'official' translations performed by a company authorised by Toyota. However They are Owners Manuals, not a Maintenance Manual. They cover operational issues, what all the buttons, bells and whistles do. For example, although they contain information on what (Toyota) fluids to use, they do not explain how to change them Make sure you get the Hybrid version, which has about 50 pages covering the Hybrid. The rest of the text is the same as for a non Hybrid. For Ali's benefit, they do not state the emissions.
  18. Topsham Car Sales. Jacob (from memory).
  19. Hi Teh, Welcome to the Forum, I doubt Chris will meet your request. As a long serving member Chris will be well aware that the Forum must respect copyright. You could, as Chris suggests, buy a CDROM for your own personal use !
  20. We are all so glad you got it fixed. If you are so pleased with your Auto Electrician; why don't you give them a mention, by name, to assist other members should they need the same type of help.
  21. Buy the JPNZ Owners Manual (in English too) from ebay. Every owner should have it. Good detail on fuses and locations. Plenty of other really useful information. I doubt is the Toll reader. Most of us have those (almost, if not, standard equipment) and most of us don't have the current drain problem.
  22. Hi Colin, Welcome to the Forum.
  23. I have a semi permanent, non swivelling, middle row Captains seat configuration. It is not easy to achieve. Alphards are available with swivel seating for the middle row. So seating could be available. Do you have Captains seats ? If you do, you will need to replace (some of) the seat rails ! If you already have the one plus one and a half seating, it may swivel already ! If you would like more detail of my set up, please send me a PM.
  24. Hello Keith, Welcome to the Forum. it is essential at this time of year, especially in these cold 'snaps', to keep your battery fully charged. Mine has a habit of self discharging, and is brand new. It turned out that the battery I replaced it with was fine. Imho, Tanya is a good source for batteries.
  25. Hello Horse ! Welcome to the Forum/
