I work for a local motor factor's who specialises in jap imports we having lots of regular trade customers requesting replacement cats that have been stolen we already do replacement cats for petrol bongos and elgrand e51 . I have been informed as long as I leave the front cat in place it will pass the mot fine this the case with the elgrand e51 which has 4 cats we sell the decat kits for the e51 elgrand . Once mine is done we will get the through pipes made for the 3.0 alphard
  2. Hi there is 2 cats one at front and one at rear with the cat thefts going on im going to have the rear one removed and have a through pipe put on .the front one hard to get to .

Hi not going to promote the company I work for but I work for a local well known motor factor's who specialises in Japanese imports we sell lots of parts for the elgrands and alphards one of our main customers in Southampton a regular known garage tells us he is getting a few alphards coming in now with problems due to fuel issues he tells us ecu light coming on he tells us it's because the ecu is programmed to recognise hi octane fuel he says e10 fuel no good .

  9. The books are different the fro396 is the most popular handbook we probably sell 15 a week sometimes more since covid sales for these handbooks are going through the roof more people now buying alphards as no one having holidays abroad

  20. No you should never use e10 if you use e10 it will damage your fuel system with prolonged use if you accidentally use e10 it will be OK but you must dilute it with e5 soon as possible going lpg would be the best option as 3.0 engine is built for the lpg

Alphard 3.0 and 2.4 can only run high-octane petrol this has always been the case you should never put in ordinary unleaded fuel it plays havoc with the 02 sensors I know this as I work for a well known motor factor's in the Midlands who specialise in jap imports we are always supplying o2 sensors for alphards
