  1. Try Mark Richards insurance. Simple answer if you remove the original radio you loose features such as Lane control, front cameras etc. New sat nav can be put in on a android radio but you'll have to install a new aerial and new camera.
  2. We bought a slightly higher amp age one. Exide 450a battery from Tania batteries. sorry for the late reply.
  3. It's all fairly simple. Import using an agent. There is one in Hallen, Avonmouth, Bristol. You will need the speedo converted, a rear fog light and that's about it besides registering it with the dvla. All the forms are easy ish to complete. It's the tax rating you might have to fight and getting it EU approved for emissions to get a lower tax bracket.
  4. So, if they are not on the drivers door post they may be in the filler cap. for the 255 / 55 / r17 is 2.3 but as for the 215 / 60 / r17 seems a bit odd for a alphy. I'd find that sticker if you can.
  5. All alphards seats move on runners. back and forth. I would go for a 3L at least if towing a caravan.
  6. they bolt down to the sub frame. you need to remove the carpet in order to access the bolts.
  7. ask paul as ace cars (i think thats it) they are a alphard breaker you can find them on ebay for most things.
  8. its a bad key. i would get a new one requested from Toyota or get one off market and have it re programmed by a auto electriction.
  9. I bought a bigger one. than what was in there. i'll get info and let you know tomorrow morning.
  10. Okay, so you can get vehicle clearance guides for the alphard. goto http://jp-carparts.com/ these guys will give you all the aftermarket options you want.
  11. should be in a sticket on drivers side door frame/post
  12. hybrids generally only work on low speeds from what i remember. it's worth contacting a hybrid specialist and getting them to check the batteries over.
  13. that will be the vsync cable loose or not in correctly. try plugging the cable in again.
  14. There is panel clips which hold it on and some screws either end.
  15. there is one for the hilux that will fit the alphard. i think halfords sell them.
  16. There was someone who did a suspension lift. But you need to notify the insurance company as it's not at the standard height. I shall dig around and get back to you on the suspension type.
  17. how does it effect insurance
  18. Simple answer nope! unless its chipped but then the chip causes lots of issues. best thing to do is call them and ask.
  19. No, the firmware is not being released. so no go on that i'm afriad.
  20. welcome aboard.
  21. we got ours Through mark richards
  22. Welcome aboard
  23. If it's failed I would ask them to show you. most legit garages will happily show you. If the other garage is dodgy then you can actally get your money back and report them to the dvla for giving fake certs.
