Yes, you'll need to select aux/dvd but can buy a phono to rca lead. have seen it working in the past.
  5. Yes thats normal, as the Petrol tank goes under pressure and creates a vacuum when its being used because of the fuel pump and injectors. The hiss is letting the pressure out. So it's a good sign if there was no hiss every time that would mean you have a leak in the fuel system and air is getting in loosing pressure.
  6. Hi and Welcome. Thank you for the videos. I've pinned this to the top so everyone can click on the link for the information videos.
  7. it just unscrews and the new one screws in. easy job.
  8. Most parts are available in the UK under other vehicles. Toyota use their parts globally. Servicing is not an issue at normal garages. Toyota do not want to touch it because it's a import and therefore they don't have a clue.
  9. Using google translate is the only way. Except it does not pick up shorthand japanese. So thats just a guessing game.
  10. check it with a multimeter it will soon tell if it is AC or DC
  11. unfortunately not. Unless you can speak to a tech minded person on the sales floor so to speak there will be no way of telling unless it actually states it in the description.
  12. Unfortunatly not. It would require the ECU to be re flashed on the 2006, from 2002 - 2004 they used the same ecu then changed it for the 2005-2008 models.
  13. Yes, it's a nightmare. You will need to get the body work redone and holes filled.
  14. Xtrons does one that fits nicely. If you remove the original head unit you will loose lane assist, front and rear cameras and will need new ones to get them working again.
  15. yes its just a facelift. no difference on chasis.
  16. Sounds odd to me seems like the sensor for park is not validating that its clear to start. have you tried a code reader to see if there are issues?
  17. Same as the previa struts I believe
  18. remove the rear trim on the boot to access the boot ones the rear lights on the main body of the vehicle are screws/bolts which need to be undone then the lights slid off.
  19. you need to go in through the boot. Remove the trims and then its a 13mm socket which can be undone but becareful as the spoiler is normally stuck on to the paintwork with the age of the vehicles.
  20. i believe the Merc vito covers fit.

By default the rear fog light does not work as in Japan you do not need them so its added as a extra to pass the registration and mot. You can however change this and add it in via the bumper reflectors using the same wiring.
  23. if it is the 3L then it's a belt the 2.4 has a chain. The belt is really easy and any garage can do it. It's the same engine as the Lexus rx300 and very easy to do. driver side wheel comes off then the cover showing the pulleys and the top cover comes off. Any garage can do this it is not a special job. Make sure you get the water pump changed at the same time and don't let them fob you off with it does not need doing as it does when cam belt is changed.
  24. There was a system that the alphard are actually on I thought it was star something. I'll have a look and see
