  1. Welcome aboard
  2. If it's failed I would ask them to show you. most legit garages will happily show you. If the other garage is dodgy then you can actally get your money back and report them to the dvla for giving fake certs.
  3. Not for the 2.4 i'm afriad. if it was the 3L you can but the 2.4 is harder to remap and so no-one i know of does it.
  4. Push and hold the mileage reset button while turning the key into the “on” position. You will see the odometer digits countdown to zero and once they all are at zero, the maintenance light has reset and you may release the button

  6. Nailsea, Bristol.
  7. The hybrid's are good engines and last forever if properly looked after. Now the batteries are the ones which you need to look at. If you having a hybrid i would ask for the batteries to be tested and a certificate to be given. Normally 10 - 15 years for the batteries if looked after.
  8. Fairly easy job to do. Take the drivers side wheel off, remove cowling, then its a case of removing the bolts. Part 1 of a video I would also do the water pump at the same time. just be careful as the bolts are very tempremental at times, Mine was siezed in the block.
  9. Try Mark Richards, They deal with alphards day in and day out. Well worth asking them. Mine cost £388 for the year with 8 years NCD
  10. Yes tha manua is a must. Really helps with the tweaks and changes of things in the van, no to mention where everything is.
  11. Nice and good luck, Welcome along too.
  12. You might need to take all the cowling off the seat. Slide the seat all the ways forward and there should be some runner bolts to undo. It's been so long I've forgotten how I did it last time I had one.
  13. Actually you can, but just be done via the obd2 socket using a specific code reader/writer. I'll find out and lost it here.
  14. Yup corner light
  15. I would remove all bolts, but that's me.
  16. Nice, welcome you'll have to post images.
  17. Theres a company on the isle of wight. Forgot what they are called but co e recommended highly.
  18. that fuse is passenger footwell under the glove box.
  19. Alot of the models do not allow you to switch off the airbag now. Normally it would be as you open the passengers door on the dash if there was. But Toyota do not like this function.
  20. Use this as a knowledge base. Eighseaters blog
  21. Normally it's a 13mm or 15mm socket, long extension
  22. I would say buy a alphard book from Amazon. Well worth the 25 quid. Toyota alphard book
  23. Lane control is a button in the bottom left of the drivers side next to the steering wheel? Press it. Then when you are going over 40mph it comes on. If not check fuse box on lower left passenger footwell.
