  1. contact Ben Hau https://www.facebook.com/benjamanhau
  2. not personally. however someone on here might of.
  3. okay so the bulb can be removed two ways. first is from inside the boot. Remove the boot liner at the top and try to unplug and remove. (i tried that first and ended up breaking the bulb. as it's a tight fit. second is to go on top the boot outside and pop the cover off undo the two nuts under it then on the outside top put a smudger or flat screwdriver in and feel for the locking plastic in place and push the end of the screwdriver (handle) up so the other end pushes down then the unit will come free but might need a little push from where the nuts, bolts are.
  4. I've just gone down and setup a code reader tool for them which reads all alphard codes, its a really impressive tool. It can rewrite ecu's, re program keys, and does alot with terms of alphards compared to the other tools on the market.
  5. none. However Ben Hau https://www.facebook.com/538931818 Does a android play/apple play upgrade of the exsisting unit so you get to keep everything and have the ability to use radio, phone etc on it. worth speaking to him.
  6. Not sure in Edinburgh but if you ever go near birmingham then there is Ben Hau, (or ben alphard) who does everything you need doing.
  7. Welcome, and i've replied to you via thread and pm'd you Any questions let me know. Which model is it? 3L or 2.4 hybrid?
  8. They can do all car problems. vans etc... They are all very capable and if they need specific items they have all the tools to look at the alphard on the computer system. Also i've printed the workshop manual off for the 3L for them. ABS, servicing, exhaust's, unsealing, cam belts, timing chains, mot etc. they do it all under one roof.
  9. Ring mark richards insurance they are fairly good and know alphards really well.
  10. red to reverse and f-cam is front camera.
  11. not sure on most. But tyres we have the reinforced tyres and they do the job fine. but this is a van unconverted.
  12. behind the glove box is one location. you might need to pull the glove box out completly to get at it.
  13. It is the "Hybrid System Warning light" Could be because you let the batteries go flat. I would suggest getting a code reader or having toyota look at it as it may be one battery has died or at the very least it needs the error codes clearning.
  14. Head over to the facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/alphardmart/?fref=nf they can do inline upgrade of exsisting units.
  15. There are a few choices, but most of all I would seek out a recommended installer. However if you want to DIY the job them head over to the Alphard market group on facebook and they can convert the exsisting unit to android or apple play for you.
  16. What type? 3.0l or 2.4? hybrid or non hybrid?
  17. Would be nice to know what system they use to convert as I've been trying with a raspberry pi but there are too many inputs to manually configure each section.
  18. Good to hear. I'll sticky this as some other people will have the same issue.
  19. its called the kickdown. do you have it in D or 3? Kickdown will increase the rev's to the limit then change but if you've got it stuck in 3 then it cant go higher. because theres not gear to follow on from. If you have it in D then the kick down switch is not working and i suggest taking it to toyota to check out. as on full throttle it should still kick to the next gear.
  20. whats wrong?
  21. yeah, i think i'm just doing it wrong tbh. not had time latley to try again
  22. very long winded. I bought a book on my alphard but still cant get the motion locking to kick in
  23. if its the original head unit you can't as these are made for japanese market only and therefore no english option. I use google translate on my phone to figure out everything. otherwise its a new head unit.
  24. Have you tried contacting toyota? as sometimes it is the same parts across many vehicles. Or even a breakers yard.
  25. Thule do them. i would strongly suggest calling your local thule distributor and asking.
