  1. Tom, this is the same for everyone. we've been on the waiting list for two years. Might be worth checking your brake servo. as on the 2002 models there is a recall for them and they have them in stock. we had ours done 6 months ago.
  2. its between the front seats in the middle column. have a look there.
  3. depends on your budget. there will be some out there but the leather is for executive models only generally unless it's been added as a optional extra. (correct me if im wrong someone). When we was looking two years ago there were two models for our v6 one was leather the other was normal. we choose normal as the leather one would of cost an extra 3 grand.
  4. Honestly. It's normal. Depending on the Alphy you want depends on how much work is involved. We had one which didn't need any work besides a full service (which we did ourselves) Algys normally provide full paper work including any remedial works that are needed. Ask them for copies of the auction status of the vehicles i'm sure they will be happy to help.
  5. Have you tried Toyota directly? they seem to be pretty good here in Bristol.
  6. Ben Hau has been used by many Alpharders i use him for the niche parts i cant find. He's always done a great job. Others who've used him have been very impressed as he goes above and beyond. i'll pm you a link for reviews.
  7. ah that's where it becomes sticky. I use elm327 with Torque on android then input a advanced variable for the 3L but don't know the advanced variable for the hybrid i'm afriad. I setup a bristol garage with a very expensive bit of kit which does it all see if i can find the variable and get back to you.
  8. there are a few on the isle of wight. Northstar conversions do a wide range. have a look on facebook as there are many conversions there.
  9. contact Ben Hau https://www.facebook.com/benjamanhau
  10. not personally. however someone on here might of.
  11. okay so the bulb can be removed two ways. first is from inside the boot. Remove the boot liner at the top and try to unplug and remove. (i tried that first and ended up breaking the bulb. as it's a tight fit. second is to go on top the boot outside and pop the cover off undo the two nuts under it then on the outside top put a smudger or flat screwdriver in and feel for the locking plastic in place and push the end of the screwdriver (handle) up so the other end pushes down then the unit will come free but might need a little push from where the nuts, bolts are.
  12. I've just gone down and setup a code reader tool for them which reads all alphard codes, its a really impressive tool. It can rewrite ecu's, re program keys, and does alot with terms of alphards compared to the other tools on the market.
  13. none. However Ben Hau https://www.facebook.com/538931818 Does a android play/apple play upgrade of the exsisting unit so you get to keep everything and have the ability to use radio, phone etc on it. worth speaking to him.
  14. Not sure in Edinburgh but if you ever go near birmingham then there is Ben Hau, (or ben alphard) who does everything you need doing.
  15. Welcome, and i've replied to you via thread and pm'd you Any questions let me know. Which model is it? 3L or 2.4 hybrid?
  16. They can do all car problems. vans etc... They are all very capable and if they need specific items they have all the tools to look at the alphard on the computer system. Also i've printed the workshop manual off for the 3L for them. ABS, servicing, exhaust's, unsealing, cam belts, timing chains, mot etc. they do it all under one roof.
  17. Ring mark richards insurance they are fairly good and know alphards really well.
  18. red to reverse and f-cam is front camera.
  19. not sure on most. But tyres we have the reinforced tyres and they do the job fine. but this is a van unconverted.
  20. behind the glove box is one location. you might need to pull the glove box out completly to get at it.
  21. It is the "Hybrid System Warning light" Could be because you let the batteries go flat. I would suggest getting a code reader or having toyota look at it as it may be one battery has died or at the very least it needs the error codes clearning.
  22. Head over to the facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/alphardmart/?fref=nf they can do inline upgrade of exsisting units.
  23. There are a few choices, but most of all I would seek out a recommended installer. However if you want to DIY the job them head over to the Alphard market group on facebook and they can convert the exsisting unit to android or apple play for you.
  24. What type? 3.0l or 2.4? hybrid or non hybrid?
  25. Would be nice to know what system they use to convert as I've been trying with a raspberry pi but there are too many inputs to manually configure each section.
