  1. we use burn cd's without any issues on ours. what model do you have?
  2. Best bet is Toyota. as sometimes they will struggle to clone it because of the coding at other places.
  3. for Towbar, underseal etc use G F Automotive they can point you in the right direction for LPG conversion plus put trackers etc in there for you too
  4. xtrons, pumpkin do good radios but there are a few ebay listings that do the car radios. However i'm currently researching about a firmware update on the radios which i can then change it to english or at least put a english version of the radio software on. (still around 6 months away as i'm waiting on Toyota Japan to release the firmware code for me.)
  5. Nice. Welcome to the club!
  6. very nice and tidy we all enjoy such vehicles welcome.
  7. Have you got a code reader? 2.4's are hard to read 98% of the time. I would check the sensors on the exhaust as most of the time they fail and preform such actions.
  8. from your facebook post. I think it's tied to the immobiliser. I would check the wiring and see where else it goes tbh. Send some pic's of the wiring connections to the barrel and if any in the engine bay.
  9. yup, try G F Automotives near the feeder river. :) they do all my work
  10. Yes welcome to the club and enjoy the fun and hassle free driving. Make sure you get the underseal, full service (belt, pump, oil, filters, Gearbox fluid changed)
  11. What about the diesel fumes etc?
  12. Good luck, not something i would try as i've done it before to another vehicle and it needed the suspension/wings altered.
  13. Try emailing them as they are very busy they do around 250 conversions a week. But also sell flat pack conversion kits.
  14. From what other people have said they do not get an issue as it's the same engine as a Lexus RX350. Alot of people have converted to LPG and never looked back.
  15. Yes to underseal is a must! The only thing todo is buy another radio to change it over most radios will not translate as they are made only for the Japanese market.
  16. I know of a company who have safety ratings for all conversions. But i'm not sure they do Alphards but worth a shot. www.infinitycustoms.co.uk
  17. Most people do not get an issue with this. Just make your when you book for ask them and notify then of this.
  18. Sounds like something is blocking it or its not in the right position (when you move it back and forth for comfort while driving).
  19. Could be the contacts on the switch itself, just remove it and clean the contacts off with a bit of fine sandpaper.
  20. We build websites so can assist for this too if needed. Ecommerce and other sites all easy to use.
  21. 1. Unfortunately, got a stone chip in the windscreen today (less than 2p-coin-sized on the passenger side). Very much hoping that it's repairable. If not, how easy is it going to be to get hold of a replacement windscreen? My insurance only covers me up to 1000GBP but I'm guessing Nationwide Windscreens (my insurer's preferred repairer) might have trouble getting hold of a replacement, so worried that the total may go north of 1000. Worth getting it checked the windscreen from FB posts are around 100-200 pounds. 2. The vehicle only came with one key (private sale). I've found a company - autolockmaster - in Cheltenham who say they can cut me a spare and programme the chip for about 160GBP. Does anyone have experience of this company and is this a reasonable price? Are there other alternatives out there? Buy a key off the internet or go to Toyota directly that way you wont face any issues. As the coding for these keys are different from the UK. 3. Is it worth getting the vehicle 'waxoiled' underneath? I've heard Alphards are less prone to rust issues than Mazda Bongos, say. YES - had mine done as Japan does not salt their roads it does not rot, but here it can rot quickly. so get it undersealed.
  22. From my opinion the 2.4 is a great vehicle, however if you are going up and down hills alot the 3L would be a better choice as you have to put your foot down more and use more fuel. Most people get the 3L/2.4/3.5 converted to LPG too which has a very impressive economy rate for fuel. I own a 3L and never looked back as it's a perfect van. The servicing is easy to do and less hassle. The difference between engines is that the 3L is easy to read for faults and has a timing belt and the 2.4 can be tricky to diagnose and has a timing chain.
  23. Sounds like the contacts are furred/dirty try cleaning them and see how you get on.
