  1. Sounds like something is blocking it or its not in the right position (when you move it back and forth for comfort while driving).
  2. Could be the contacts on the switch itself, just remove it and clean the contacts off with a bit of fine sandpaper.
  3. We build websites so can assist for this too if needed. Ecommerce and other sites all easy to use.
  4. 1. Unfortunately, got a stone chip in the windscreen today (less than 2p-coin-sized on the passenger side). Very much hoping that it's repairable. If not, how easy is it going to be to get hold of a replacement windscreen? My insurance only covers me up to 1000GBP but I'm guessing Nationwide Windscreens (my insurer's preferred repairer) might have trouble getting hold of a replacement, so worried that the total may go north of 1000. Worth getting it checked the windscreen from FB posts are around 100-200 pounds. 2. The vehicle only came with one key (private sale). I've found a company - autolockmaster - in Cheltenham who say they can cut me a spare and programme the chip for about 160GBP. Does anyone have experience of this company and is this a reasonable price? Are there other alternatives out there? Buy a key off the internet or go to Toyota directly that way you wont face any issues. As the coding for these keys are different from the UK. 3. Is it worth getting the vehicle 'waxoiled' underneath? I've heard Alphards are less prone to rust issues than Mazda Bongos, say. YES - had mine done as Japan does not salt their roads it does not rot, but here it can rot quickly. so get it undersealed.
  5. From my opinion the 2.4 is a great vehicle, however if you are going up and down hills alot the 3L would be a better choice as you have to put your foot down more and use more fuel. Most people get the 3L/2.4/3.5 converted to LPG too which has a very impressive economy rate for fuel. I own a 3L and never looked back as it's a perfect van. The servicing is easy to do and less hassle. The difference between engines is that the 3L is easy to read for faults and has a timing belt and the 2.4 can be tricky to diagnose and has a timing chain.
  6. Sounds like the contacts are furred/dirty try cleaning them and see how you get on.
  7. Great, Make sure you get all the work done before you pick it up. i.e fog lights, full service, underseal then radio convert if required.
  8. Bulbs are a hard one. Which bulbs i.e. location? you can always use the parts finder to find the right part number. Its on the servicing section.
  9. What year and model do you have that would help identify the action needed to do this. Have you tried holding the unlock button for 10 seconds?
  10. Hi Aurora, I'm sure there will be someone with a conversion here soon. I've not had one but looked at a couple and you get normally 8 - 10 inches from visual inspection but can't completely confirm that.
  11. There are alot of dealers around. I would go with recommended ones. Coventry cars are worth your while, Hallen imports (bristol), Southampton there is a dealer though there has been mixed reviews about that one. If you do get one you will never look back. we have not.
  12. Recently our boot is not opening all the way when we open it. we have to manually push it to the top instead of it opening then going open. Any way to sort this without buying new boot bars?
  13. Anyone had keyless remote start fitted? any ideas how goo that might be?
  14. If you are going to import then hanham imports in bristol is a good place but a long way from you. I suggest have a look at coventry cars they can import and sell to your needs.
  15. Try here https://www.lockwoodinternational.co.uk/alphard-part-no-c1260.html
  16. Hi Diveboy, Have a look here. Always get them serviced, cambelt, water pump etc done before taking it. other than that its fantastic. Most people have already done that to theirs but if you buy from a car dealer then ask questions as there are a few great and a few bad companies....
  17. Welcome, Lot's of information here so have a look.
  18. Ah thanks. Yeah sometimes batteries are hit and miss.
  19. Most people make themselves as it works out alot cheaper.
  20. dails is easy its just pop a couple of screws but the head unit can be hard i'd find a auto elec company to do a insured job.
  21. I would speak to Ben Hau He may be able to sort you out with after market kit.
  22. Welcome Roger. As for mph there are plain dials that get placed over the kph dial or you can find Ben Hau (Ben alphard) on the forum he has conversion stuff and will be able to point you in the direction for awning.
