  1. Common faults is the suspension on the campers make sure they have been setup correclty and not leaking. Welcome by the way.
  2. Not bad Ian. It all changes from place to place and driver. But nice hopefully mine will drop next year instead of going up like normal
  3. Found a supplier on ebay that does the bulbs alot cheaper than Ben can do them for. cost me £3 for a pack of 10 blue ones i've swapped all my switches and the display under the radio to these and they work a treat. ON EBAY
  4. Okay so i created a dashcam using my Raspberry PI pretty happy how it turned out. i've attached a link to my git hub with all the scripts etc https://github.com/alextovey/cardashcam The video works but still needs some tweaking Video https://www.youtube.com/mnX0PvUJZSw
  5. also this place seems cheapest for tyres https://www.tyreleader.co.uk
  6. Any have any recommendation of tyres? I'm currently looking at these but they say summer tyres https://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=gM4RoBZ1GHYPpq0e.110.1016355224&Breite=225&Quer=55&Felge=17&Speed=W&Load=101&kategorie=6&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&m_s=3&sort_by=Lable_1roll&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&Label=A-B-68-1&details=Ordern&typ=R-327802
  7. Very nice. I would also do the following: headlight restorer on the front lights and the front camera (if you have one) Then seal them. Our front lights were spot less and bright then about 3 weeks later started to go yellow really quickly.
  8. Not at all Dave. Tips, Get it the under seal done. (matter or urgency) Then full Service, Cambelt, Water Pump. Check out the brake lines as they degrade over time and have your mechanic flush the lines to get rid of air as it's shipped without any oil, fluid etc in it.
  9. Depends on your unit. I've got the HN3t-W55 and its only in Japanese and locked. Most of them is locked but you can replace with other units which run android/windows and run maps from app's instead. We've left ours in as taking it out caused a fatal error in the ECU and the car wouldn't start. putting it back and started right away. So all depends on your model. Ebay have a few disc's.
  10. I would say the immobiliser chip lost power or its not close enough to the barrell of the ignition.
  11. if you've got another head unit installed then be careful as sometimes they throw an error up on the ECU when removed.
  12. Hi Everyone, I had a few bits for my raspberry Pi lying around so thought i would build my own dashcam. So after many days or reading and coding i've got a really smart dashcam. Records using HD input from a microsoft web cam. I will make a little how to and post below on how to make one. Total cost for me is £10 (the Clock cip + rear camera using pi camera v2) The mod's are easy to do and anyone with a little computer experience can do it.
  13. Its the ECU, Sat nav disc and head unit computer.
  14. Sure speak to this guy. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=538931818&ref=br_rs He can source all parts for the alphard. Changing the belt is a doddle for the garage tell them its the same engine as the Lexus rs300 and they will know what to do. The struggle may be the bolts holding the water pump in as they can snap off easy.
  15. That is the "Toll" card reader thing. Like the severn bridge you have a module which let's you pass thats the same for them. on a side note handy little card holder.
  16. Oh very nice Wish we could change ours and delete the hdd but the model we have is pretty £$%% if im honest.
  17. This will talk you through some of the tasks for the V6 engine. V6_Engine_Handbook.pdf

  18. I would go with Xtron's, pumpkin or even https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Android8-0-Double-2DIN-Car-Radio-Stereo-Sat-GPS-Navigation-Touch-MP5-Player-Cam/173396876602?fits=Car+Make%3AToyota|Model%3AAlphard%2FVellfire&hash=item285f425d3a:g:AGgAAOSwWOxbNFzN:rk:12:pf:0 Seems to work well.
  19. Welcome along for the ride.
  20. Yes underseal is a must. Then go for a full service. (and change your brake lines). The reason being is that in Japan it's very humid and they come over here and start to wear really quickly. Speak to Ben Alphard on the forum and he will get you sorted. Things to change replace once you get it. underseal brake lines (braided) Cam Belt water pump filters Oil + Plugs Rad Coolant I know it sounds alot but any garage can do it easily. If you've gone for a v6 its the same engine as a Lexus RS300. really really easy to work on (except the spark plugs at the back).
  21. Yeah same for me with DL i was with them for a few years until we got our alphard. Then i just laughed at them and said nah thanks i'll go with Mark Richards.
  22. Dont reprogramme the key it will cost a fortune. Just get a new case and take the guts out.
  23. It will pick up but only a few members at the moment. Trying to pull in new ones so post on fb and twitter if you have other groups to this forum. I'm adding content (slowly) but it makes sense when you check it out.
