  1. All this can be sorted as i think its just due to age, nothing a bit of felt or silicone spray can't fix.
  2. How are you finding the Vellfire @Oddcouple???
  3. there is an interface you can get that plugs in Apple Car Play and Android. Keeps all the remaining functions of the radio as well, but has a display for Apple car play I can put you in touch with the person who fits them
  4. 20 Series vs 10 Series Squeaky Cabin, anyone moved up to the 20 series and find the cabin has squeaks and rattles? Never noticed it in the 10 series. One is from the sunroof / DVD roof Screen area Others from around the door areas Although the cabin on the 20 series is a much improvement, i have finding the door areas squeak and rattle. Feel like taking off the door cards and felting the doors.
  5. Does anyone know where the oil filter on the 20 series 3.5 2GR?
  6. on mine it was fitted in one of the the reverse lights and used a red LED bulb, completely seamless
  7. i tell my wife it's my Japanese mistress, i have also noticed she says something different everyday. Also how she gets irate when parking close to something.
  8. I would check to see if it has been disconnected because any excuse for a non-payout will happen
  9. I am sure there will be a sequence you need to do to get it to connect however, on another note, be careful with these as it may invalidate your insurance unless you have declared it from the beginning. if you do declare then be careful they don't cancel the insurance. Seek advice before going anywhere near your insurance co. I have seen many people talk about insurance issues with these.
  10. welcome to the club We're in Bournemouth
  11. Just insured my 20 Series, Over £100 cheaper than AF and less Excess with Ageas. AF did compete but not with the Excess, so Japcover gave me a better deal all round. Speak to Bradley 01275 856618 https://www.japcover.co.uk
  12. Hi Stephen, have you press the small button down and try and shift the lever whilst button is held down?? Also, may find that the brake pedal needs to be press down before shifting, there could be an issue with the witch on the pedal.
  13. thats quite an expensive quote. i would say £1300-1500 Tops with profess autogas.
  14. a friend and I changed mine. If you are not confident under the bonnet then i would say get it done by a mechanic. Its a mornings job. I do wonder how many people are driving around in a ticking time bomb, dealers will not tell you that it probably will need one at some point. Especially if they are over 10 years old and no record of it ever being done.
  15. anyone else managed to cleaned their maf?
  16. only thing with front swivels is that they sometimes raise the hight of the seats. OK if you are not overly tall. Interested in seeing costs for these though and how much they increase the seat height.
  17. welcome to the club Ian
  18. Hi Roger Its actually in the first post of this thread. I don't remember paying anything though.
  19. Welcome to the Alphard Club!
  20. mine just had one of the rear brake lights conerted, as the Alphard has more than 2 it makes it easy to convert one of them into a fog light.
  21. bumping this to see if anyone else has had theirs done.. many alphards will need to have this recall done
  22. i was with AF for a similar quote, weird why some are extortionate
  23. I believe that if the car is over 10 years then wont need IVA, only an MOT, only Fog light and possibly speedometer converted. I am sure there will be some kind of import tax, as you cpuld sell the car a month later, but i am not sure on what this would be. there are a few import specialists like Algys https://www.algysautos.com/import-scheme-import-any-car-into-the-uk-from-japan
  24. Definitely we should set one up, maybe at Gaydon Museum? as this has a great car park, held many of other car meets there. Almost mid country too and easy to get to.
