New keys from old?
Hi, Continuing with this theme as I've reached a strange impasse with my key.... I have 2 genuine Gen 1 Toyota keys with 4 buttons, 1 Grey master key with no electrics, and a fob with 3 buttons for lock/unlock/boot. Everything works as it should. 1 of the keys with 4 buttons has worn out, and the buttons are falling out. I've bought 1 key off ebay which is a blade blank attached to the back plastic shell-an empty shell with 4 new buttons on. I've removed the innards of the working key and put it all inside the empty shell, and had the blank blade cut to the working key. Tried today and the engine turns over, but won't start. All the buttons on the new shell work. Any ideas? Poorly cut key?

Just a thought, have you tried it all with the rear screen down, and powered on with remote? Have a look on the remote button and see if there is a mute button.- headphone sockets not working
Hi Martin. This is the same set up as I have though mine's MZ V. 2005 It does appear to be the Theatre system in place( I can just see the speaker on the top of the dash), though I'm not sure which gadgets on passenger side Rojie is referring to? Maybe he has seen some upgrades on his internet travels! I confess, i've never tried my headphones and have now changed out the headunit to Kenwood so don't think they will work, but will have a check when i can.- ANH10 headlights unit update

Someone may find this data useful. On the Nissan Elgrand Forum they have proof of a 2002 vehicle being exempt as the data showed that the vehicle was well below the limits. http://www.toyota.co.jp/jpn/company/history/75years/vehicle_lineage/catalog/60000198/html5.html#page=27 https://forum.elgrandoc.uk/threads/exemption-from-ulez-and-caz-charges-is-possible-for-pre-2006-e51s.33063/- Solved - AFS ECU Initialisation Problem

Yeah, deffo reverse sensor as I have a funky led image of the 4 corners of the car that light up. I can turn it off, but obvs I would like it to continue working as it was.- Rear park sensors
Hi guys, Checked over the Brake lights, and they all seem to be working fine. Only does it with a passenger in front, or on a hot day weirdly. The paint is a bit flaky on it, but made sure there are no obstructions by removing loose bits and cleaning. Still does it randomly under braking. Does anyone know how accessible the rear sensors are? I don't have easy access uinder the car unfortunately, but happy to get dirty and slither under!- Japanese presidents car
Very good!- Rear park sensors
Good advice, thanks i'll take a look asap.- Rear park sensors
My rear left keeps beeping when braking. A re-calibration or something similar would be great!- Can anyone help?
It may be the on/off switch fro the power source next to it.... Could be a handbrake bypass switch? It may allow video to be played on screen whilst the vehicle is in motion.- Spark Plugs
Nice one Wafu. If you have pics of the job along the way, that'd be great!- What makes a ‘Club’
Elgar Forum!! Classical music only booming from the Alphie's speakers.- What makes a ‘Club’
Take a look at the Nissan Elgrand Forum. It is really very good, and has regular informal and formal meets across the uk. They actually wave at each other too, unlike the 3 Alphies I see regularly by me, that are a miserable bunch and leave me feeling like a weirdo for waving lol!- Keeping the 100 sockets
