Hello Piotr, Welcome to the Forum. Did you buy privately ? If from a business, I would take it back under warranty. Possibly uneven tyre wear, or a significant curbing affecting the wheel or suspension geometry. You may consider a front wheel balancing as an inexpensive start.

Hello Neil, Welcome to the Forum. The van was imported in March 2024. These earlier hybrid vans tend to be high risk in terms of battery repair / replacement costs. People capable of such repairs are rare, and quite busy. As this van has been traded in, I would focus on the warranty. Check it minutely, make sure you know what is covered and what is not. You may wish to review Michael Brown's threads in the Forum with respect to his hybrid experiences. If you do proceed, it will need undersealing. Actually, that should have been done by the importer. Also, regarding the low mileage; you need sight of the Auction Certificate (required for the van to have been exported from Japan). If the vehicle is registering miles, rather than kilometres, it will have had a conversion chip fitted. Doing such provides an opportunity for the unscrupulous to adjust the distance recorded. What year is your machine? Before 2008 or after ?

I had my alloy wheels refurbished, not my Alphie ones, some 13 years ago by a company in Exeter. I was concerned as they were about £1k each new ! They were large and wide at the time; relatively small now. They came back better than new, if that is possible. £60 each wheel. Although mine did not need crack repair, or porosity work, they were checked for distortion too. Very quick, large car; so trueness was very important. 13 years later they still look fantastic when I occasionally clean them !

What pressure does your tyre plate state ? Drivers side. It will not be in psi. I seem to recall I use about 35psi.

I don't disagree with the above, but, OnIy applies to some trim levels. The other common size is 205/R16 95H, depending on the trim level. I suspect your tyre plate cites that size. Either should be fine and are in common use in our community.

Do you know what model trim level you have ? AT, AS, etc. Otherwise send your VIN or registration to Picasso (by Private Message if you prefer) and ask him to search for your model number. I don't think, imho, insurance companies are over interested in tyre wheel combinations provided they are close to the OEM, and not the cause of an accident. However wheel offset is important. The offset is normally stamped on the inside of the wheel; convenient, I know. I'll check the handbook for 17 inch wheels, and get back to you.

Hello Will, Welcome to the Forum. Definitive ? Wow ! Quite assertive. The recommended tyres, according to the Owners Manual, depends on the trim level. This is largely due to the wheel size fitted by the OEM. So the door pillar states a size, the dealership suggested it is fine, but you need more reassurance. What can our membership say to convince you further ? For a pseudo definitive answer please add your model trim level, and we will try and reassure you. Changing wheel sizes and tyre sizes is not likely to be of any concern to Toyota. Your insurance company ? Yes, maybe. Toyota, unless under warranty? No. Generally, higher profile tyres will soften the ride, and, possibly, increase the roll.

I have lived near PZ twice ! Perranuthnoe and Botallack. It just occurred to me that around those lanes, you may not even have be travelling fast enough to get into 5th. Hi Mark, That looks aftermarket to me. Do you have a 'sonor' section in your lower dash panel ? It is/was switchable, and the sensitivity could be altered in the OEM HDD unit (depending on which head unit was originally fitted.

Hello Neil, Welcome to the Forum. The 4 cylinder engine has cam chains, so unlikely to need attention; are they noisy ? The E5/E10 is an ongoing debate and is covered extensively within this forum. That is quite a high mileage, for the year, so frequent use. Are you sure that it is miles, and not kilometres. Check the MOT history on DVLA to assess the level of maintenance it has enjoyed (or not). Good Luck.

On the Gen 1 model the paint code is on the VIN plate on the nearside B pillar.

No. You do not have to use brokers, but they can save you a lot of time, if not money, I pay about £350 for a V6 camper; only condition is I have to have a gas safety certificate; not a habitation certificate. You could try to sell on this Forum; distance being to only challenge.

Hello, What is a PDU convertor ? Leisure batteries are normally charged through a split relay by the alternator. I use a cheap voltmeter plugged into an accessory 'cigarette' socket wired to the leisure battery to, crudely, monitor the charge. OK, I looked up PDU; facilitates 'all' the leisure electrics. Seems to provide charging to the leisure battery from the mains hook up. As far as I am aware, my mains set up does not use a PDU, just a split charger and fuse/rcd. So, I do not think my leisure battery is charged when connected to the mains. That Varta battery seems to be for starting small marine craft ! Imho, starter batteries are not suitable for leisure batteries. I stand to be corrected. Have you measured the leisure battery voltage ? Off load, and on load ?
