  1. Hello Brendan, If your (starter) battery if not kept in fully charged condition, at all times, you are likely to see issues. Vehicles will draw current whilst idle, as not all circuits are isolated by the ignition. You could disconnect the negative terminal, and / or, fit a high current switch in the negative lead. In my opinion, neither is necessary if you keep your battery fully charged. If your battery is being discharged by several door operations you should get your battery tested under load.
  2. Alasdair's photos are exactly what you need should you decide to get some. They are not cheap. Investigate programming costs if / before we you buy; as they can be surprising and difficult to locate where to have them done. It is unlikely a Toyota dealer will do it for you.
  3. The fobs for (my) the keyless entry system, smart system, have only three buttons. Lock, unlock and tailgate.
  4. If you bought from a dealer, take it back and have them fix it. If you bought privately ..... Lee, Will the steering need re-aligning ?
  5. Hello Krysztof, Welcome to the Forum.
  6. Hello Ted, Welcome to the Forum.
  7. I think you were told wrong. The 2.4 is chain, the 3.0 is belt, the 3.5 is chain. Timing chains do not, usually, need renewing. I don't know whether your engine has tensioners, most engines do. Tensioners can need renewing from time to time. If I'm wrong, I am sure other 3.5L owners will point that out pdq !
  8. Hello Enam, Welcome to the Forum. Timing belt will not need changing. Your engine is fitted with a chain system ! Unfortunately, I don't know what the recommended mileage is for new chains (mine has belt) system; but others will.
  9. Well done. Thanks for letting us all know.
  10. Hello Paul, Welcome to the Forum. There's lots of info within these pages. So you'll have plenty of reading to do.
  11. Sorry, I don't have the faintest idea where to start. I seem to recall a previous response indicating the system used several sensors, all interlinked through an ECU.
  12. Unfortunately, the flashing indicates a fault. The head lights should still work fine, but won't turn as you steer and change speed !
  13. What head unit do you have ?
  14. Do you mean the Head Unit ; Japanese Sat Nav will not work in UK. So Radio, CD, DVD, MD are all working? Reversing sensors working Ok ?
  15. Hi Gerry, Most competent garages can check air conditioning systems nowadays. As your Alphie is an import it may have different fittings; but I doubt it. Companies such as Kwik Fit can perform a pressure/ leak test. They normally do this for free ! Worth calling your local branch ?
  16. Hello Paresh, Welcome to the Forum. You could try Odyssey Carpets on ebay. I know they do dark carpet mats.
  17. There is a thread devoted to Alphie insurance. Although the info becomes out of date quite quickly; it is still a good starting point
  18. Hi Chris, There is a thread especially for this on the Forum.
  19. Hello Sean, Welcome to the Forum.
  20. Please share which make and model you ordered
  21. Picasso can probably help, if Chris can't
  22. The Toyota camera is 6V. Some people fit a 12V camera up front. I think Chris.ac is probably an expert on this topic.
  23. Hello Carolyn, Welcome to the Forum. Awnings is one of the most popular topics on the Forum. Lots and lots of reading for you to do !
  24. I hope it goes well for you. It does for many. But I have read reports of problems.
  25. Hello Allan, Welcome to the Forum. There was someone else who had a similar problem, albeit not caused by a pot hole ! I'll try and find it. You should be able to receive Radio 2 on your HD without the need for additional aerials. Some members have been brave enough to update their head-unit; but not me. Not a job for the faint-hearted, imho. You need to be cautious you don't lose the cameras, or some of the steering wheel buttons
