  1. Cheapest fix I can think of !
  2. Hello Tony, Welcome to the Forum.
  3. Yes I believe they are on the inside faces of the door 'jambs'. Just a gentle clean, make sure nothing is effecting them; I doubt the problem is this though, but it is a no cost option. I believe tight or frayed cables can also cause issues, Door issues is not uncommon. I expect you will receive several suggestions from members who have solved various issues.
  4. What is the output of the solar cell ? Sorry, I meant voltage. As Jan asserts, it will take ages to charge a 65a/hr battery at approx 100ma. If the solar panel is outputting a low 12 volts, it won't charge the battery at all. So, at best, you are unlikely to achieve full charge, which you will need on a cold winters morning. My advice would be to invest in a smart battery charger. (Mine is a Ctek).
  5. If the rear windows are open, the door will not open fully, and will close automatically. resetting you windows may help. Check the door sensors and perhaps clean them.
  6. If not, They should be available on ebay, but they will cost more.
  7. Probably a red herring but ensure your starter battery is fully charged at all times. Could be a vapour lock, but I don't know how you go about tracing that. Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you switch the ignition on ?
  8. Techstream is the go to product for OBD work, but ... I don't think it s operable on the very early Gen 1 vehicles
  9. Hello, Possibly excess friction in engine due to cold temperatures. It is not unusual for a pressure differential to form in fuel tanks on many vehicles.
  10. You are correct. Well done for researching it well.
  11. Thank you very much. I'll get some and give it a try.
  12. Hello Jason, Welcome to the Forum.
  13. Sorry. I did not think you were. He has other useful videos on YouTube that I thought members may choose to view for awareness.
  14. This is cuttothechase
  15. Hello Barry, Welcome to the Forum.
  16. Hello Mandy, Welcome to the Forum. Why do you need to know the emissions ? A 2007 vehicle should be ULEZ compliant if that is the reason for your question. You can type the registration number into the TfL website if you wish to check; I would. ps. Are you sure the vehicle is 2007 ?
  17. Can you please provide details of the 'dry lubricant' you used siuccessfully ?
  18. Radio Active vehicles cannot be exported !!
  19. You probably know this. The VIN number is on the Auction Sheet.
  20. Buying some seats ? Are you considering fitting Gen 1 seats to a Gen 2 vehicle ? Is your vehicle a 7 or 8 seater ? How many seat rails do you have across the middle row? There is no link or article; just detailed personal research. Can you PM me the details of what you are trying to achieve. What seats you have, or will have. Whether you expect the middle seats to slide when reversed ? I assume your van is not a conversion.
  21. Hi Fiaraz, Do your middle seats have lap belts ? If not, reversing the seats would mean they could not be used for travelling. Since the three point seat belts cannot be used, the vehicle will fail the MOT. I believe the Gen 2 does not come with 8 seats, so at least the seat rails should be in the correct position. I have a Gen 1 vehicle and explored this idea, in detail, and there are other difficulties too. If you do have lap belts, then it may be feasible, but is not a simple as you may think.
  22. Please watch the cuttothechase on YouTube video first; I believe the method (from my aged memory) does not involve the rear door card.
  23. I assume you have arear conversion. cuttuthechase has a video on YouTube regarding opening the rear door. I vaguely remember his method works for rear conversion too as with the rear conversion you cannot remove the panel without opening the door ! Good luck
  24. Hello Jan, Welcome to the Forum.
