  1. Yes my 2003 had front bumper spoiler one each side ,got so fed up with kerbs reversing off drive scraping etc, ended up taking them off now no problems they were a wast of time I personally didn't like look anyway
  2. Did mine last year with a cheap kit and didn't last long, bought a more expensive kit autoglym headlight restorer and was great, but needs to be sealed with decent sealer autoglym rapid ceramic spray, and needs to be cleaned regularly and reaply ceramic every couple of weeks or month, ceramic polish spray should last 3 months ,reaply for how ever long you own the car ,I read up when brand new cars are made with plastic headlights they seal them but it comes off after about 3 months ish depending on weather how much you wash your car etc,so all plastic headlights need to be washed and resealed regularly, using the kit I use mine are perfectly clear ,hope this helps you
  3. Hi just had mine done, cam belt water pump and all other belts at Steve binghams garage in Chesterfield Derbyshire old Whittington, did my brake discs and pads to,so long as I provide parts usually from jap spares on Web in England, next day delivery if possible, he said it was a big job ,had spark plugs done too, spark plugs on rear of engine mean removing inlet manifold, part called a gasket air surge gasket, had problems with that they had one left out of a set, replacing rocker cover gaskets too as may start weeping around 100000 miles ,most any car may ,doing rear radius bushes too,I think the timing belts 1st change is at around 50000 miles, the Japanese are quite good at servicing there cars if it says it do it,so assuming it had been replaced left it till now 94000 miles, having talked to few mechanics regarding replacing belts have said that parts and belts are much better now and all should manage 100,000 to 150,000 miles regardless of what dealers say ,after all dealers like to make money, hope that helps anyone thinking of doing there own on drive or road ,I wouldn't risk it there's one or two nuts that can be quite tight and access really not good,oh and there's a few free apps that translate Japanese to most languages out there too ,hope that helps anyone needing a timing belt change, nearly forgot my mechanic had a learning experience too, didn't know inlet manifold needed removal till he found they are unaccessible right at back underneath
  4. Hi has anyone had problems with the rear passenger central locking not working properly, all other door locks unlock and lock normally, but I have to press unlock button on key phob twice for that door to open and again twice to lock,it's also intermittent on that door, you can see it move slightly on 1st press on opening or closing, I was wondering whether the central locking mechanism could be stiff inside door or just needs replacing, any suggestions appreciated
  5. Don't bother trying to sorce one,go have a stainless one made up,from cat back ,will out live you and have a lifetime guarantee, otherwise contact jap autos, near Birmingham I think ,but will come up on a search, it cost me about £450 for my last 2.8 petrol car ,but they let gasses out quicker ,my car did more to the gallon afterwards, hope this helps
  6. Auto jap spares should be able to sort you out,I have had stuff off them before, have your registration and chassis details, better to phone and talk to someone, very helpful sort you out with correct parts
  7. Got mine from amazon site ,I cut the corners off near edge for blowers as a bit tight, few to choose from ,also ebay, they do help with glare and reduce heat in cab as they don't reflect the heat .also bought 2 bags of moisture absorbing chrystals ,like a silicone or something, anyway I have dogs and in the cold weather it gets water condensation from there breath on inside of windscreen, these bags really do help with absorbing moisture over night
  8. Hi if you can post some pictures it would be helpful as can only second guess on your description, is it scratches? Could you have only just noticed as sun was low ?
  9. Hi have had this too on a few cars ,vinegar mixed with warm water should help with wipers, but if they won't clean a new pair is the only answer even if a new pair got mucky, sometimes certain greases are really stubborn, a mucky screen can wreck new wipers, use house hold window cleaner it's great for internal and external glass of any type, works fine for me,and maybe change that water if it's been in there a while, I get sun glare from the dash to windscreen can't see a thing at times if sun is low,so fitted a dash cover from ebay or amazon a while ago,it's a matt black material shaped for dash ,doesn't reflect sun so helps keep the temperature down too on hot days, works a treat for me,hope this helps,if it happend suddenly like you said it may even be the lamination in the windscreen that has failed, really shouldn'thappen, if it won't come clear with glass cleaner take it down to your local car windscreen replacement centre they'll give you an answere definitely, my wife works for a windscreen replacement company she says if it needs replacing it will need ordering,an import car probably won't be in stock anyway in uk new,so could take 6 weeks to come from Japan, pilkingtons glass I believe make replacement glass that supplies industry but probably not make this as an import, also your insurance may not cover this as it is a fault not a crack or chip ,so comes under ware n tair, hope this helps ,bit long n windy but trying to cover all.
  10. Had summer budget tyres on but could feel them slip accasionally on set off and corners and I drive very slowly, put some Avon all season from national tyres and seem fine ,think they were about £100 each ,not too expensive at all ,probably top end of a budget tyre, won't fit really cheap ones on mine as its a four wheel drive model and they don't last ,hope that's helpful
  11. Have this one very good picture quality front and back and 20% off at moment from amazon, I think cheaper than halfords here's a link Nextbase 222XR Dash Cam Front and Rear Full 1080p/30fps HD Recording in Car DVR Cam 140° 6 lane Wide Viewing– Intelligent Parking Mode- Polarising Filter Compatible- G-Sensor Motion Detection https://amzn.eu/d/i0ghVhh
  12. Update on dash lights, have checked 2 fuses for unit and not blown located in engine compartment in large fuse box names for fuses located inside lid, managed to check bulbs 7 bulbs- t4.2 bulbs for switches all blown, 3 bulbs-t4.7 for screen are OK and light up but will replace anyway will update once arrived and fitted.
  13. Just to catch up ,had a look today everything is connected at back ,took console apart were all buttons are ,removed back and front of screen were buttons are ,there are 3 bulbs for screen, 7 further bulbs for lighting up buttons and some fixed none removable ones for air conditioning recirculation etc, removed the 7 small bulbs but so small and have green coating on them so can't see if they have blown, have looked on ebay and found some from Toyota you could order from them but are £9 a piece, found some more £27 for 7 but not from Toyota, going to take a chance on those and hope they fit they do look like they should, I didn't check my bulbs as not got equipment to do so,I'm going to guess that removing centre dash without removing car battery may ? Have given some kind of power surge, here are some picks of inside unit ,have pointed out bulbs with a screw driver, don't touch printed circuit wear gloves
  14. Hi I have the same problem I think ,cannot see heat adjustment, or mode button etc, will be interested in what you come up with,I have just taken console off everything is connected, recirculation switch aircon button etc lights work ,there are some cross head screws holding back on unit ,only small I will look inside in a day or two to see if any bulbs or anything need replacing, have a feeling it may be a resolder or cracked unit ,we will see
  15. If you look on your steering wheel think it's on right side there is the same simble press it and it should turn off,I think you can change views to from front cameras to include two and 3 views,if not there from your settings in your radio ,have altered mine before
  16. Hi I've been asked to pass on how I fixed my bad starting on a 3.0 petrol 2003. It did turn over but sometimes took a lot of turning and would not tick over until I had a bit of heat into the engine, it was a gummed up valve which worked off the engine water temperature just under the throttle body,if sticking or slow to move you don't get correct air fuel mixture at start up so a cold engine thinks it's hot, remove air inlet plastic from airbox I think it's a cross head screw driver if memory serves, then on throttle body wear the flaps move when excellorator pressed just underneath there's a little square part with a pipe from engine ,remove this pipe it pulls off, unscrew cross head or Allen screws can't remember which from little square part, inside is a small like valve which turns about 90 degrees or maybe a bit more and should turn easily and hear it at its stops, put your finger over the hole underneath the little square that the pipe attached to then spray carb cleaner down the back of the throttle body at the bottom aiming it a small hole which let's air from the hole you have your finger over underneath to the place your spraying, give it a good spraying more the better ,wait a minute then turn the valve a few times then remove your finger from the hole underneath, have rag ready underneath to catch the dirty spay don't let it go into the pipe on your engine you don't want it in there it may take a few goes but it should move spin easily, the little box it's in is a kind of electrical magnet which makes the valve move when engine cold to hot,its attached to water in engine ,it has a slot in it that you can't see,it lets air through the slot when engine is cold it sends an electrical input to valve to make it spin allowing air from your engine kind a like a engine breather pipe to this valve allowing more air etc at cold start up ,it probably tells your ecu too to alter other stuff, but because it takes air from your engine which has vapour etc it gums up so need cleaning from time to time ,perhaps a bad design, found mine stank of fuel when it happened, unburnt fuel as probably over fuelling seems OK now no problems for the last 12 months hope this helps and not to confusing.
  17. Hi how you've explained its not to clear your symptoms, if its not turning over at all when you turn the key ,and it's not clicking its a flat battery, if it turns over after a few attempts its sounds like an electrical intermittent issue, if it turns over but is difficult to start when cold or when only been running 5mins turned off then it has problems starting again, if the latter, I had this issue intermittent very annoying, I can let you know how I corrected this if you contact me
  18. Yes they don't open fully if rear window down past a certain point, it's a safety feature so kids can't get out from back seats when door open, hope that helps
  19. Pure Highway 400 In-Car DAB+/DAB Digital Radio FM Adapter with Bluetooth for Music Playback – DAB Car Radio Adapter/Transmitter and Bluetooth FM Transmitter, Black https://amzn.eu/d/etToSmV
  20. It wasn't a replacement, it was a small unit just for radio leaving your existing unit alone, this is for any car,van lorry etc, tune your existing radio to a frequency, the new unit to same frequency, the new unit has all the necessary digital radio aerial etc to pick up stations, it's a small unit sits on top of your dash or wear ever you want to put it,it's just an easy way without taking your existing unit out, portable GPS units now connect to phones too play films etc music, I really wasn't that bothered to go to any trouble as I don't listen to radio that much just cd which it plays anyway, just put pure digital car radio in search, but it sounds like your wanting much more its (pure high way 600)look in amazon
  21. Don't buy one from halford as quite expensive have a look on amazon much cheaper
  22. Hi I've had an email about your radio ,not sure it's meant for me as yours is a different head unit ,but for me a frequency changer is a waist of money and time as they only increase your radio range very slightly, you will be disappointed, you can't change Japanese radio frequency to pick up British radio or TV if fitted, installing a pure 400 or the (600 which will work with your phone) to is much easier and a lot less expensive ,keeps everything else working on the unit without having to pay £400 plus a lot more ,depends on what you want, would recommend( pure 600) as workes with your phone, because its digital its future proof, hope that helps
  23. Hi was just wondering if anyone has heard of dipetane fuel enhancer, have just bought some and going to see if it has an effect, works with any fuel, but after reading its more for diesel engines as diesel isn'tgood at mixing, helps it mix better with air on combustion, using it in Ireland putting it in some fuels to buy pre mixed and getting better fuel consumption better emissions by a good way,but for petrol engines benefit mainly by the lubricants in it,there's a lot more to add but seems it's backed up with 30 years of lab tests and papers by professor basically it really good for your engine and can help your engine last a lot longer
