  1. ask paul as ace cars (i think thats it) they are a alphard breaker you can find them on ebay for most things.
  2. its a bad key. i would get a new one requested from Toyota or get one off market and have it re programmed by a auto electriction.
  3. I bought a bigger one. than what was in there. i'll get info and let you know tomorrow morning.
  4. Okay, so you can get vehicle clearance guides for the alphard. goto http://jp-carparts.com/ these guys will give you all the aftermarket options you want.
  5. should be in a sticket on drivers side door frame/post
  6. hybrids generally only work on low speeds from what i remember. it's worth contacting a hybrid specialist and getting them to check the batteries over.
  7. that will be the vsync cable loose or not in correctly. try plugging the cable in again.
  8. There is panel clips which hold it on and some screws either end.
  9. there is one for the hilux that will fit the alphard. i think halfords sell them.
  10. There was someone who did a suspension lift. But you need to notify the insurance company as it's not at the standard height. I shall dig around and get back to you on the suspension type.
  11. how does it effect insurance
  12. Simple answer nope! unless its chipped but then the chip causes lots of issues. best thing to do is call them and ask.

  17. If it's failed I would ask them to show you. most legit garages will happily show you. If the other garage is dodgy then you can actally get your money back and report them to the dvla for giving fake certs.
  18. Not for the 2.4 i'm afriad. if it was the 3L you can but the 2.4 is harder to remap and so no-one i know of does it.
  19. Push and hold the mileage reset button while turning the key into the “on” position. You will see the odometer digits countdown to zero and once they all are at zero, the maintenance light has reset and you may release the button
  20. Welcome. Hope you enjoy being a member of the community.
  21. Nailsea, Bristol.
  22. The hybrid's are good engines and last forever if properly looked after. Now the batteries are the ones which you need to look at. If you having a hybrid i would ask for the batteries to be tested and a certificate to be given. Normally 10 - 15 years for the batteries if looked after.
  23. Fairly easy job to do. Take the drivers side wheel off, remove cowling, then its a case of removing the bolts. Part 1 of a video I would also do the water pump at the same time. just be careful as the bolts are very tempremental at times, Mine was siezed in the block.
