  1. You may have had something different as this is a transmitter which picks up everything from your phone like calls, Google maps, music etc via bluetooth and transmits it to your fm radio as long as they are both tuned to an empty frequency, for me it is 87.5 fm, it gets its power from the cigarette lighter socket, I do not get any interference from anything electrical or otherwise, now I said that I probably will now LOL🀣
  2. I couldn't be bothered with all the hassle of changing the head unit on ours, so I bought a decent FM transmitter, which have improved over the years, plugged it in the cigarette socket, set it on 87.5, set the FM radio on the same, turned on bluetooth on phone, job done. As We use Alexa loads its on my phone so we now have Alexa in the Alphard as well as Amazon music, all for Β£15 , just make sure there is room to plug it in as the cigarette socket is a bit recessed.
  3. I don't understand why people don't just use E 5, more mpg, a better running vehicle, E 10 does not give as much mpg therefore the cheaper price is irrelevant, and we still get people saying that the E 10 vs E 5 scaremongering.......weird world we live in
  4. We are on the outskirts of Dover, bought our 06, 3.0L from County Cars, touch wood it has not missed a beat.
  5. I am using Adrian Flux ATM, as I was in a rush but next year will be different as I am sure I can get a better deal elsewhere
  6. I am sure that you won't be disappointed with them πŸ‘
  7. I am sure you will find them top notch, I certainly rate them very highly
  8. County Cars of Strood, Ask for Alan or Ben tell them Barry from Dover recommended them as I bought my Alphard from them
  9. Just has this leaking problem with all the rain we had, front seatbelt was wet, water dripping from rear air vent above side door drivers side onto the step. Took it to my favourite Indy garage, he took off the trim around the drivers door and the drivers side sliding door, exposing the drain tubes, he said that the tubes are quite narrow for what they are so it does not take much to bung them up, they had black crud in them, he blew them through with an air line and washed them out, checked the other side, put it back together, just waiting for some rain now β›ˆοΈ
  10. The easiest way to calculate mpg is to brim the vehicle with fuel, reset the trip, drive as you normally do for about 100 miles, refuel the car (brim it again) keep the receipt as it shows how many litres you have put in, note the miles travelled on the trip, go home and Google it. My 3.0 averages 22mpg combined due to size 9 boots with steel toe caps ( that's my excuse and I am sticking to it) πŸ‘
  11. "ebay chip tune" ?????????? Maybe you know my car better than me. Funny the net is awash with peeps saying the same as me about E10 , must all be suffering from placebo effect, could be an epidemic coming πŸ€’πŸ‘
  12. Don't have a problem with ours, its not a fast charge but it charges ok, it just utilizes a socket that was there, if that makes sense
  13. For Β£3.79 I think they are great, no rewiring and all the faff, and switchable from the dash, one of my best finds of the year LOL πŸ‘
  14. Just done this, they said it will take 1 business day to complete, might be interesting, then again might not lol 🀣
  15. Again if it works for you LOL πŸ‘
  16. The transmitter we use has usb charging ports so drained phone battery is never a problem also we have 3 usb ports in the rear of the centre consol via an adapter plugged in the 110v socket, as you rightly said "Whatever works, right "
  17. I expect many will frown on this but I couldn't have all the trouble with wiring and cameras may not work and maybe lose steering wheel controls etc So we bought a decent fm transmitter, tuned the fm onto 87.5, tuned the transmitter to the same, voila , We now have all the music we want, every radio station we want, phone mounted on an air vent holder for Google maps, not had a bit of interference, "Alexa play random 80's music" Works for us πŸ‘
  18. Wipers are 26 inch and 16 inch πŸ‘
  19. That looks good, mine is a black one. I am so glad it helped with no hassle πŸ‘
  20. No problem, it beats rewiring stuff for no apparent gain πŸ‘
  21. The gear knob on our 3.0 was looking a bit worn around the leather, so bought one of these from eBay, item number 184371531798 Solid metal, perfect fit and nice in the hand, might appeal to some of you
  22. Sorry fella I totally disagree, how can it be a "theory" when my vrs ran like a dog with e10 fuel but ran perfectly with Tesco Momentum which is 99 octane over exactly the same route day in and day out, with no additional additives ?
  23. Hi On ebay the item number is 174427583514 They work fine and you can turn them off on the dash switch.
