Mirror camera
dave1221 replied to big_boz's topic in Toyota Alphard & Vellfire Club Forum (2008 - 2015)
Sorry to reopen an old thread, but is it possible to retrofit the wing mirror camera? For example, I am looking at possibly buying the passenger wing mirror with the camera built in and what i presume is the camera switch for the right hand side of the steering wheel (pics attached). Would anything else be required to get it working like extra wiring etc? I have already retrofitted the rear foglight equipped stalk and I'm keen to add more retrofitted equipment where possible -
Hi guys, I have a 2009 Alphard and I have found a listing on Japanese yahoo auctions for a widescreen screen from a 2010 Vellfire. Does anyone know if these are interchangeable with the older square version without too much hassle? I'd like to upgrade my screen and this option, if feasible, would be ideal.

18" Wheel recommendations
dave1221 replied to Declan C's topic in Toyota Alphard & Vellfire Club Forum (2008 - 2015)
Old thread I know, but someone may find the information as useful. They aren't OEM Toyota but I have just fitted a set of Bola FLY alloys. They're 18x9" ET38 and in my option fill the arches nicely and I have no rubbing going on even with the vehicle lowered on coilovers. The alloys are also very lightweight at approximately 8.5KG each (lighter than my Enkeis!). -
New proud Vellfire 2012 owner

That is absolutely stunning! I looked at the Japanese auctions for ages trying to find a good purple Alphard/Vellfire but couldn't find one. That is very nice, you must be pleased with the results! -

thanks guys, I managed to buy a translated manual from ebay a couple of weeks ago for a bargain price

Thank you. I bought it through jpctrade.com who give you access to the auctions in Japan and then after leaving a deposit you can bid on the auctions. I imported my Evo 6 through them in 2016 and they have been really good. I am hoping that when it arrives it looks as nice in the 'flesh' as it does in the pictures I have of it

Speedometer and odometer
dave1221 replied to RAZ's topic in Toyota Alphard & Vellfire Club Forum (2008 - 2015)
When my Alphard arrives from Japan I will be looking to have the speedo and odometer converted. I found this company online who say they offer both services: https://www.ncs-systems.com/canm8-k2m-1072.html Has anyone heard of them or used their services? -
2010 Vellfire Radio

That's something I'll definitely bear in mind, we love our euro trips and are definitely looking to take our Alphard around Europe next year ๐ -
2010 Vellfire Radio
dave1221 replied to Matt132's topic in Toyota Alphard & Vellfire Club Forum (2008 - 2015)
I hope it's a good system, any feedback would be much appreciated. I think by the sounds of it any solution which allows you to keep the standard head unit seems is a good thing ๐ -
2010 Vellfire Radio

Going along with this theme, I am considering getting something like this for my Alphard: Essentially it also works as an FM transmitter so you can tune in your Toyota stereo to the same frequency and use it for Carplay and Androind Auto. -
Hi Garry, I do not have my Alphard as yet but from previous experience (I have fitted all sorts of aftermarket stereos to dozens of cars) if callers cannot hear you then perhaps an external microphone hasn't been fitted to the android stereo? That is the case with my current daily driver so when I answer the call on the stereo the sound goes through the phone. Can you see a microphone poking out from anywhere on the dash or up above around the sun visors? You may need to pull the stereo out to see if you can find a Mic port on the back of it. With regards to the steering wheel controls, I believe (and I may be wrong as I've only done a tiny amount of research) the 2009 Alphard works on a CANBUS system for the controls and the stereo may not be CANBUS control compatible. There may be aftermarket harnesses like Connects2 available to sort this. Again, my I haven't even got my Alphard yet, so I may be wide of the mark with my suggestions. Regards, Dave

Hi guys, I have just bought a 2009 Alphard through the Japanese car auctions and I thought I'd drop a quick message to say hello. It's a 350S C-Spec with the Modellista kit fitted and V6 with approx 52k miles on the clock. Looking forward to it arriving! Cheers, Dave
