Next off, push the panel at the front bottom of the seat off, and undo the bolt, just to get a bit more movement again.

Hi guys!!! Happy New Year! So full credit to @skippy992 for the research to get these parts!! First off, remove the 2 screws behind the plate. Unhook the cable from the same plate, fingers underneath to do that. Then - remove the panel at the back of the seat, this helps get more movement on the side panel. EDIT - VERY IMPORTANT there is a screw holding the bump stop at the bottom, this must be removed too! My apologies these pics are from the opposite sides of the car!

Blooming well very odd. I'd say again, a MOBILE auto locksmith, they come to you!

I believe some Toyota dealers will help, but I would suggest a mobile Auto Locksmith would be a better bet, it's what they do!

So then, tested ours just now, stood next to car, hand inside handle and it unlocks. Sat in car, faint light at back of starter. One press gave orange light. Foot on brake - till changes to green light. Then press it to start up. I've only got a guess, but if the fobs did work, now don't after new battery, then surely it's got to be fob battery related? It was for mine. Did you change the battery yourself? Could it be the wrong way up, poor contacts, old stock, or not the correct one?

No worries! I'll have to double check this, but on getting in the car, without foot on tbe brake, my first press brings it to accessory position and a small rectangular light within the top portion of the START button goes amber, then if I press on the brake pedal hard enough (I didn't at first) that light goes to green, then press it and it starts. The locking from my remote works almost all of the time, unless I've left the car in a mode it didn't like! But stood outside it, very close to it as per the manual, within around 700mm, if I put my hand inside the drivers or passenger door handle it will unlock. Or if locking press the small black button in the handle. Also, the manual says there are areas to not put the fob, on the dash, in the cupboard, centre console, as it won't like that either. So on the drivers seat is good!

Hi there! I wonder if it's possible the batteries weren't good quality? We've only had our Vellfire a very short time, but the second remote didn't work or was able to be sensed by the car, a new battery brought it to life. On the push button start, I also figured out that if I don't press hard enough to make the light on the button go green from amber, there's nowt down for starting. Not sure if you knew that bit, I didn't! It made the noise to - I think - release the steering lock, but not engage the starter.

Hi guys! Just a quick basics check, is the folding mirror switch set to the middle position? I have only had ours a short time, but have noticed it over rides the automatic function if it's not in the middle. Cheers!

Hi guys! If it's not getting hot enough, then, as you intimated, it could well be the thermostat even though it was changed. Try this - After a drive, or not, if you sit with it stationary, with the heater off will speed up the experiment, maybe a slightly fast idle speed, and see if it will then get hot, and hot enough to bring in the radiator cooling fans. If it does, quite possibly the thermostat. I had a Ford Galaxy 2007 1.8 diesel that would not get over around 65C, even with most of the rad blocked off. Never did figure it out.

Hi guys! I don't suppose you know if that unit works with the 18 speaker theatre system by any chance? I know its apparently a major complication for compatibility, but as the car will hopefully be a long term ownership I'm quite happy to invest a few quid in something good. Only had our Vellfire a couple of weeks, loving it so far, managed to get radio and cd playing easily, contemplating learning Japanese to use all those features that are on it!! Due to the age of my daughters we're not too bothered about the roof display. Do want to keep that original rear view camera with the steering guide lines, I've not had anything like it before and really like it!

Really appreciate your help on this, as otherwise I'd be totally bewildered by the little variation in numbers on the Amayama site. Sadly JP Car Parts said no stock. So, I've ordered them up, because if you've still got the wrappers with those numbers you can't give me any better confidence!! I'll post some pics on here when I get them and fit them, with full credit going to you for the research! May help some others along the way hey! Thanks again pal!

Wow, found them, listed on Amayama! Same price as you managed to get them for! Just before I go and press the button to but them, were you as confused as me on the many variations on the last 2 digits for what appear to be the same part!!

My low beam HID is a D2R, took it out last night as I too want to improve it. I'm hoping the bulb has aged and that's the trouble.

Hi there @skippy992 I'm hoping to add those extra levers to ours, for the sideways movement advantage, do you hopefully happen to be able to remember, or find from your records, the part numbers? I have looked on Amayama, and think I've found the right ones, but it would be nice to check with someone who's done it, as the name description is a bit off. The number I'm coming up with is 72677-58010-CO, and 72678, but yours are beige so I would expect a small variation on the number string. Hoping you can help me! Cheers!

The wheels are little more in keeping with the vehicle type now! The others were beautiful to lots of people, just not my taste! Yep, the width, tyre size, and offset all come within acceptable parameters! Lucky for me, free wheels, just the tyres to lay out for!

Hi guys! At last, we have bought one! Local private sale in Manchester, 2010 3.5 V6, 126,000 km, and it's already been converted to LPG by the one UK owner, which is great as we would have done it! I've had to compromise a little on the service history, but the oil is very clean, and it's clean alloy inside the oil filler cap, so it's clearly been well looked after. Sound Car VX report. One owner in Japan, one fastidious owner for 3 years in the UK. For the price I'm very happy so far. The wheels aren't to my taste, and I'm changing them tomorrow for a set I took off our Grand Voyager.

Yes, that's what I thought! The secondary smaller one. Our Impreza had one, as does our current Subaru Outback. Really good to know, as we have a branch not far away at all from us!
