What makes a ‘Club’
Hello Oddcouple, Thanks for your interest in developing the social aspects of The Club; but I think there is some misunderstanding here Perhaps issues is too strong of a phrase for me to have used. So, as far as I am aware, there is no restriction on members trying, or succeeding, in arranging meets. What I was trying to point out is, that as far as I am aware, there are no official Alphard Club meets. That is meets that are organised by the Club Staff. I was, and remain, happy to refer this 'fact' to the Owner to enquire about his views on having 'The Club' officially involved in such arrangements. There is, of course, no need for members to seek permission to gather together for whatever reason. Nor can I see any reason why the Forum could not be used as a method to facilitate a meeting. However, my reason for joining was for technical support, and not for social interaction. Having said that, I cannot believe the Forum, or Club, would wish to obstruct any social interaction on this site. Perhaps, with time, the focus of the Club / Forum will shift from a more technical mutual / self help group to one with a more social focus. It is difficult to understand why both could not be achieved. Regarding your, and other members, ability and desire to arrange meets, I agree with Starider; "give it a go". May I respectfully suggest, you send a PM to Alphard Club to further your interest in promoting the Club in this way.

What makes a ‘Club’
Surely, there are two issues here. The first is Are members interested in attending meets ? The second is Are members interested in arranging the meets ? If any members are volunteering to arrange meets on behalf of the Forum, please let me know and I'll refer them to the owner of the Forum. I would certainly be interested in attending a meet within Devon, Cornwall or Somerset. There was a meet in Scotland, recently, which was arranged informally between members and , presumably, non members of this Forum. There is a video available on YouTube. Cuttothechase.

Overcharging leisure battery
Is your battery charger set to Lead Calcium ? Lead Calcium batteries require a higher output voltage to fully charge that type of battery. That could explain the high voltage on the charger; but not while being charged by your alternator. I have a charger in my van, so as soon as I go EHU the leisure battery gets charged. My leisure battery is not Lead Calcium, and I doubt yours is either; but its worth checking the battery type. Do you have an independent voltmeter. Always worth it.

Roof bars and tow bars
Hi Tylers, Welcome to the Forum, There is a thread on here, somewhere, (probably difficult to find), where a member has discovered existing holes, with captive nuts, somewhere in an ideal place to mount cross bars. Sorry to be so vague, but, I suggest, it will be worth your while to trawl through all the roof rack entries and hope for the best. This note may trigger some other members' recall. Good luck.

2nd Generation AH20 Hybrid MPG
Maybe not there, but that is where they should be when hybrid owner members respond. That's why Teekay started it; to keep it all together. If I come across any 'strangers' I'll add them to the TK thread.

The thread is Mega thread Alphard MPG! by Teekay. For some reason the search box doesn't find it. I don't know why. Search Teekay's activity. It is there.

What colour cable for the +ve line that supplies power to the rear window antenna amplifier?
Just that he is an expert on Head Units; but he's in Birmingham. Whether he is familiar with Joying, I don't know, as he has his own head unit upgrade implementation Chris.ac is a whiz with electrics. He is very close to you but has a Gen 2.

Fuel injectors
Picasso has more experience that I, but I suspect a head gasket? Do you have water in the oil ? Sludge in the filler cap ? Check your radiator water level, frequently.

Replacement keys
Yes. You need an autolocksmith AND a master key. Mine worked fine after the locksmith worked his magic ! He also made all my other keys masters ! Or so he said. My guess is your key was cut, but it seems the immobilser is still active. Do the four buttons work ? Lock, unlock, electric doors ? When you get someone to program it, check that all functions work before paying for the work !

Personalised registration numbers.
My guess is yes BUT... As with any vanity plate, you cannot move any plate to a vehicle that is older than the plate !

Engine oil pan gasket?
Try and identify the Toyota part number, then try the Internet, Toyota Direct, or your local Toyota dealer.
