  1. 80 foot pounds, 110 Newton Metre. I found this on the internet, in several places, NOT from my handbook !
  2. Rereading this, it looks very wrong! But is lifted from the manual I have. I just checked the manual again. This IS what id says. Methinks it should be litres per 100km ! Sorry.
  3. According to my handbook, it depends on which model you have. The M series is quoted as 8.9 lt per km, whereas The A series is quoted as 9.4 lt per km. These figures, I assume, are average consumption (in Japan, if that makes a difference, altitude, traffic density, etc). I have not had my M series long enough to suggest what mileage you should get.

Which 2008 Alphard do you have ? 2005 to 2008 or the 2008 onwards. They are on ebay. Tell me the model and I'll tell you the supplier. Odessycarpets certainly do the 2005 to 2008 (and probably the latter model) as I have written to them to confirm it Another company does the 2008 on Send me a PM and I can try and forward hid details

The model number will tell you. The model numbers look like ANH10, or similar. Your auction sheet should have it listed on there. If your model has a 15 in it, it is 4WD, eg. ANH15.
  8. There are lots of threads that discuss the E10 fuel issue. I respectfully suggest you search this site to help you decide whether you need to do anything, and, if so, what.
  9. Hello both, Are you talking side awning, or tail gate awning ?

No. No yellowing on the headlights that I have noticed. I have another car that does have yellowing/grimy headlights. Many older cars suffer from this problem. There are many products (polishes) on the market that are designed to combat this ageing process, and many local garages will grind and polish for you. I am reluctant to do my other car as the headlights are £800 a side. Costly if I get it wrong ! Good luck.

It is scheduled for a Campervan rear conversion soon, a rather special one (in my mind). Nothing too special about the cabinetry; but will be real wood veneer. The panels are special order only. The maple veneer should look fantastic when completed, sealed and polished. Other 'improvements' are in the planning stages. Objective is to have a very visually stunning interior whilst creating an extremely comfortable functioning unit. The rear leather seats, after removal, will be used to provide other leather based upgrades. The van will look totally stock/standard from the outside. Whole van was rated 3.5 for the auction, now much better, probably 4.5; but still has a very minor nudge or two on the outside. I feel sure it will get some more as soon as we start travelling. It is already 15 years old. Where are you in London, I have family there that I visit from time to time.

Thanks for your glowing appraisal. Looks like a manual, but isn't. All the 'wood' panels match in colour and grain size. So .... My guess is the options, if they are options, were fitted at the time of the original purchase. Either by the factory, as factory options, or by the Distributor as a differentiator to distinguish their product from that of their rival distributor. You probably know that the G and V variants are very similar, but as they are sold via different distribution channels they can have these different options fitted. I have no idea how you would source the 'extra' wood panels, or the CD/DVD console. The gear shift should be quite easy to do; but I didn't do mine, it came like that. I have BIG plans for my Alph, which I may publish after they have been achieved; certainly not before then. Good Luck with your Quest.

Photos, as promised. If the file size is too large, about 6 Mb each, I will need your email address (via PM). So two loaded, two didn't !
  14. Have you got a box of electronics under the front passenger seat? Is yours an AX or AS model ? Try checking Toyota Alphard epc.com for drawings and part numbers
  15. I found one of these on the internet, from a 2003 ANH15W model. Part number 86120 58031, if that is any help.
  16. What model number is your unit? ANH10W ? Or something similar ?
  17. I don't have a drop down roof mounted system (yet). Seems you are a potential customer for an Xtrons unit.
  18. So, is this the unit you bought from ebay ? Which car did it come from ? This unit is not in the handbook I have; but then nor are any other navigation units ! The handbook contains several radio cd units with radio and MD; but none with DVD ! This is not the HDD navigation system found in many of the Alphards. As such, I don't recognise it. My guess is, the unit you bought did not come from an Alphard. Sorry I can't help you more.

Maybe. I personally, not the car, have been immobilsed, mainly in bed, for three weeks with a grossly swollen knee. Trips to Doctors and Hositals is all I have managed so far. I will do what I can

My Alphard is MZ G, the V variant. The Odyssey Carpets are not as luxurious as the carpets I have seen fitted to Alphards. Having said that, they are almost certainly more hard wearing. They are also grooved which 'catches' the grit and dirt. An advantage for may, but not for me. Finally, they are only available in three colours, so won't match your existing carpets. The supplier can supply full ets for both seven and eight seat Alphards.
  21. I'll take a photo tomorrow.

If you are going for alloys, do your research. AND, tell your insurance company what you do. There are internet tools to allow you to ensure you don't alter the rolling radius, which will change your odometer accuracy. These tools also calculate changes to offsets and clearances within the wheelarch space. Be careful, if you increase the ride height, as you may find you cannot enter car parks that have 2metre height restrictions. It may not matter to you. It did to me. 2 metre barriers are common where I live in Torbay. I did all this research when considering a Mazda Bongo (which are slightly taller than Alphards). An idea I abandoned. I will check my steps and see if they are lit. I also have Alphard insignia on the rear bumper sill immediately at the bottom of the door hatch. I'll check to see if that lights too. although I doubt it. Happy motoring.
  23. Which head unit do you have ? There are several, depending on the model and year. There is an English language manual produced by JPNZ Manuals. I bought mine off ebay (or maybe Amazon). £25 ish and worth it. It has many head units but NOT the HDD unit (which I have). There is an article out there by eightseaters.com (I think, certainly similar) that covers the HDD unit. Good luck.
  24. Strange, as I bought my MZ G edition from Naeem. It definitely has step carpets; but maybe they were an aftermarket addition. I also have 1 CD and 1 DVD cabinet, finished in the matching wood finish, up front between the front seats. Each holds about 15 discs in their jackets. I also have more wood trim than most. Whether it is all standard, or not, I don't know. The CD/DVD unit is not standard.
