Replacement battery
Halfords should be OK. If they do not fit it for you, ensure the terminals are the correct size for the Alphie wiring AND that the terminals are in the correct orientation and polarity.

Sticky dash fix
You can buy dash mats to stop the dash becoming sticky. But too late if it is already sticky.

Any advice please.
I like the rear mat. Quite high mileage. Only just imported. Clear MOT.

New to the Vellfire
Hello Tony, Welcome to the Forum. Have it undersealed immediately, if it isn't already.

Prospective Alphard Purchaser.
Hello Billy, There is lots of buying advice in the Forum; much reading for you to do. Use the search function on your home page. I would advise avoiding Hybrids from the 2002 to 2008 era.

How to connect buttons in steering wheel again
Hello Stewart, Welcome to the Forum. Rather a vague question, don't you think ? Which buttons ? If it was a commercial conversion, take it back and have the supplier fix it. (Conversions don't normally involve the steering area, unless your rear fog light feed has been has be taken from there). If it was a home conversion, only you will know what has be touched / attempted. More information, please.

Performance upgrades
Perhaps I am getting confused between Amayama and AliExpress !
-
Performance upgrades
Amayama is good for bling parts, and many replacement parts. Think very carefully before lowering your vehicle. Pot-holes and speed ramps / sleeping policemen will cause you no end of worry. Lowering will not be cheap and may affect resale value as it is expensive to refit OEM hardware.

Extra key (Engine and doors)
The keys are available on ebay UK, and are quite inexpensive, programming them is not cheap; 80 to 100 GBP. As Lee says you will need the key blank with the correct chip. Your model year falls in a changeover year as a Gen 1 or Gen 1 facelift. Unfortunately, the key chip is different in the two model incarnations. Lee should be able to identify exactly which one you need. My guess is 4D67, but wait for Lee's answer.

Battery replacement
I suggest you contact Tanya Batteries. They provide an excellent, and safe, mail order service. Assuming your bracket has not been modified they will be able to supply the 'correct' battery, at a very effective price. Batteries with higher CCA are not necessarily any larger, but care is needed. Mine, a Yuasa, was easy to fit; but you will almost certainly need to reset the windows, and maybe the moonroof too. Both an easy process (assuming they work correctly) There is always Halfords, or Kwik Fit who can/will test your current battery first (without obligation).

Insurance
I am not sure about Speed Awareness, but £270 was a bargain, believe me. I believe I am still with Aviva on the others and my premium increased by £30 ! Having said that, and Michael is an exceptional case, many other members are unhappy about the (exceptional) increases they have experienced with other Insurers. There are many cameras on the road from Plymouth to Penzance. Dorset is a great place, next time you head to Cornwall take a leisurely drive to Sennen or Kynance. Both are very beautiful but in different ways. I lived in West Cornwall for a few years. God's country in summer, not quite so in winter.

Insurance
Very reasonable. I was with Aviva until I had my van converted.

AH20 Head Unit
Thanks for the photo. I don't have a model as recent as yours, so cannot be specific. However, many of the later head units can be set to English. Until you get a more helpful answer, you may care to use the search box on your home page, top right. Try head unit, set to English, or similar. There have been many requests for this task so you may get lucky. Hope so.

Poor quality LPG
Or taking cost out (without telling ANYONE).

Habitation checks
I agree with pcous, above. However, I would question whether "some people could do habitation checks themselves" safely. But my opinion, and yours, don't count. It is the Insurers opinion that does (until the Law changes). Ihmo, the gas safety checks and electrical isolation/polarity/earth tests are vital to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Don't be surprised if the annual checks are introduced as a legal requirement in the foreseeable future.

Poor quality LPG
I could comment on American gas companies, but I won't.

Fog light tell-tale?
No. But best to use a rocker switch with a rear fog light symbol (and illumination, which is a must). The light must be off without the rear fog and on when the fog is on, just to be clear! They also need wiring through the lighting circuits so as to be on only when the lights on on. Some MOT testers seem to take pleasure in failing Alphies when they fail to press the correct button.

AH20 Head Unit
Hello Nicolas, Welcome to the Forum. Navigation is all about Satellites and/or Phone systems. Living where you do, most of the membership (which is in the UK) will not be able to help much. There are many head units that will give you English, and I believe your head unit may be settable to English. But beware losing other functions that are 'managed' by (integrated into) the head unit.

Seat covers
Just take a little caution here. Many are advertised on Aliexpress and Amayama. Some fit really well, others don't.

Alphard gen 1 2007 cutout while driving
The fuse box you illustrate is on the passenger side interior firewall, behind the glove box. The glove box is easy to remove. Access to the fuse box is far from easy. It is heavily obscured buy a 'rats nest' of wiring. Apart from being a gymnast, able to work on your back, you will need a mirror, torch and patience, and thin nosed pliers. I would strongly advise you get replacement fuses (of the correct physical size before you even try to replace any. Good Luck
