IMHO, you should be OK with a 'normal' starter battery, lead acid. I have found this to be more than adequate, but keep it fully charge and ensure your room mood lights are off . I vaguely remember mine being a calcium type lead acid. You don't have a start stop vehicle so I would have thought a efb unnecessary. have you got your windows working again yet ?

You need to explain the seat finish and colour to potential buyers, and whether you have a 7 or 8 seater ! I think most convertors use the medical type flooring, not plywood. Are you planning on using marine ply ?

Hi again, I haven't done this myself, but I seem to remember my convertor having to remove, or partially remove, the seat rails to slide the seat carriers out. On your model the seat rails are accessible from inside the van, but, the carpet and sound deadening underfloor material will need to come out first. I believe the nuts are captive, so refitting the rails (if that's what you intend, should be straightforward.

I didn't say it was a cheap solution ! Although it does help to create significant floor space . I don't think it is exploitative; there is a choice. They are a conversion company, so distance (for the seat) isn't a factor. I don't think you get a seat, they use yours ! They also happen to be, imho, one of the best companies you will find. Try Funky Ram, enquire whether they can supply a swivel unit. With any swivel modification make sure you understand the increase in passenger seat height; it can be a problem for tall passengers. And, last but not least, make sure you inform your Insurance company of the modification.

This will happen if you disconnect the battery. May effect your moon roof too. Or you have inadvertently switched the door disable on the driver's door. Ensure your battery is fully charged. Your windows can be reset by winding each down, wait 5 secs, and wind up again. This needs to be done from each door switch; not from the driver's door. I don't have any photos. Try searching for soft door closure. I don't even know where the soft door closure motor is ! Sorry. I'll check my van for the sensors.

Beware universal units. they may not fit; many are made for VWs. NorthStar )IOW) are the only company I know that supply and fit these in units. Note supply and fit. They do not, or did not, supply only. At the time of my enquiry they only provided units suitable for Gen 1 vehicles.

Hi Darren, I can't help you myself but there have been several examples of similar problems, sometimes the cable needs lubrication or replacement. In view of your latest experience, I believe there is a door closure motor, soft close, that may be playing up. There are also a couple of sensors on the door jamb that may benefit from a gentle clean.

Try to check the cable that operates the door; they are known to need replacing sometimes. There are members who have changed the cable; try searching for door or sliding door in the search box on your home page. Do you have smart locks ?

If you bought the Alphie from a trader, take it back to them and ask for help. Which button ? Are you pressing the key fob button, or the button on the dash ? Ensure the door lock switch on the drivers door is not enabled.

I bought two blanks from Aliexpress, or Alibaba, I cannot remember, and had an auto locksmith do all the cutting, programming and cloning. He did need a master key. All done in 15 minutes, no hassle, worked first time and ever since. Not cheap but, imho, very worthwhile. I now have three sets plus the valet key.

I don't think that premium is unreasonable, even if the increase is. Some insurers will low bid the first year(s) to gain your custom. Mine is about the same as yours, but only increased by 30 pounds this year, which was a very pleasant surprise.

I agree with you on the VAT issue; and the VAT on their costs and margins can be significant. On the Auction Sheet issue I suggest you consider reporting those resellers to Trading Standards as I believe they are committing Fraud, among other offences.

The Auction Sheet will declare the Grading. A VAT registered dealer will have to levy VAT on their sales price. Which obviously inflates the price by 20 percent.

Hello Keiron, Welcome to the Forum. You may need to check fuse 9 (second from right) in the fuse box by the drivers seat, 25A, probably a microfuse. Although for the drivers power window, It is not clear (to me) whether that includes the middle row seat rh door too.
