  1. Try adding a 'w' after the anh20 The Japanese models have a W, the export models have L or R for left or right hand drive
  2. With the 18 speaker system, there will be a MOST adaptor box connected to the headunit. I would be more suspicious that that has failed before the 480Watt Toyota amplifier. You have checked both amp fuses in engine bay? 18 speaker system has 2.
  3. I installed a switch inside car, so ran wire into vehicle, and tied that to the ETC unit wiring, as it is switched, fused, and conveniently placed near the switch blanks. So drl comes on with start, and goes off when ignition is off and drivers door opened ( with switch being override do I can turn them on/ off if sat in car parked up) I plan to add an additional relay connected via the lighting ' auto' Position, so that DRL is on with ignition, and automatically turns off when sidelights come on.
  4. I have these, alphard, they work absolutely fine. These generally have a control unit that regulate the flash rate. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNXLflE
  5. You mean these. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mqf8Wfw
  6. Look for bulbs that state anti hyperflash. These come fitted with resistors already.
  7. Didn't the 10 series mark the lamp housing like 20 series? Check if you have a projector housing, as it would be D2S. D2R has a small shield on the bulb to prevent light being emitted forward, as it uses a reflector housing. If not sure, attach photo of headlamp and we will tell you. On 20 series, it's easy as the bulb is printed on top Example
  8. This is alphard forum, as in the Toyota Alphard MPV, not alpine Do you mean you have a Nissan elgrand? Try looking in those forums
  9. Confirm what picasso said, your year has cable throttle, so you need a more complex mechanical solution that will run to several hundred £.
  10. 20 series has 65ltr tank. If you connect an obd2 reader, the fuel gauge sender has a range of 0 to 50. I've let the obd2 drop to zero, I believe there is at least 10 litres in reserve, this will be by design, as the pump will need to be kept cool. The most I've managed to pump back in was 54litres, not wanting to force more in to avoid damage to the the evap system. There are a few YouTube videos of a few Toyotas driven until they cut out and refuse to start, I think it was a corolla that still had 100 miles of fuel after the needle had stopped moving!
  11. Awesome work. I'm still using original headunit, so never got around to figuring that out, well done!
  12. Excellent find. I had wanted to do this mod, but never got around to it, the Toyota mic is pretty decent, when I tested it from the diagnostics menu
  13. The connector k is an input to the headunit. The signal out to the rear screen is void connector c I think. Send me a pm with an email address, so I can forward a scan of the Japanese wiring. The English versions you can find online are based on export models of the 20 series, as used in Russia, hongkong, etc, they usually had lower spec headunit/amplifiers
  14. You have a copy of the CDROM? There are two schematics, based on premium sound (18 speaker) or super live sound (11 speaker) If you have 2008 >2010 you will have a green connector on back, as the Japanese TV tuner connected to this. 2010 > onwards has the TV tuner built in to headunit by removing the minidisc player
  15. There is a manual available, it's in Japanese. There also always to be software you can install on pc to manage the files it records.
  16. 2nd MOT, no problems. It's all about beam pattern, so don't put led in dipped beam.
  17. The numbers/letters on the shifter should be illuminated. The bezel around the shifter is not, that's an AliExpress/Amazon.jp mod. The device nearest rear view mirror is for auto windscreen wipers, it's a rain detector. ETC, useless in this country, can be removed, would be interested to see if they connected it to anything up top or if it has it's own wire run to fuse box. Furthest unit is dash cam, obviously.
  18. Well, did it have electronic Speedo converter or faceplate change? You've had it a month? Any other mods? New headunit?
  19. Rear screen will be controllable from the headunit, if it's the official Toyota one still fitted. Not sure those luxury model seats are capable of going further back; check near the rear of the seat for a removable panel, on earlier models a panel hid a lever that allowed the centre seats to be pushed closer together, and allowed them to slide back further avoiding the tyre wells. But it looks like your seats are unable to be pushed closer due to the pull out table.
  20. Toyota has quite a generous 'reserve' amount of around 10litres. The needle/warning light is calibrated for 50 litres. You can see this via the obd2 data, the remainder of the tank is reserve and fuel filter and evap system.
  21. Has someone fitted a USB socket next to it? In a blank switch space? The usually piggyback the cig connector(plug and play) possibly the cig socket was not reconnected
  22. sorry, late to the party. looks like you sorted it - 20 year old panel finally packed in it seems!
  23. the mode button works with the original head unit and swaps it between FM/AM/CD/AUX etc, its basically like pressing the physical buttons on the headunit in sequence
