Long press will turn them fully off. There are aftermarket modules you can fit that add a memory function, so the lights remember how you left them when switching off ignition. The bad news is, i lost my browser bookmarks when i updated phone, and my backup was not up to date. I had a few websites, in Japanese, that has dozens of upgrades, things like follow me home lighting module, under sliding door kick sensor to open/close when your hands were holding shopping, the interior light memory function etc. I've been searching for ages to find these sites again

No. Unless you hack the auto light option. My solution was to fit dual colour led indicator bulbs. Light up constant white, and switch to amber when indicating. You can also write so that when your actual sidelights or dipped beans are switched on, they deactivate Something like this https://a.aliexpress.com/_EH7mk45

Pretty expensive to modify to radar cruise control. Requires several modules, it was integrated with lane keep assist. Need windscreen camera and the associated loom, the windscreen has a black dot sunscreen pattern that would need to be removed, or glass replaced. Millimeter wave radar behind grill, control ECU. New cruise control stalk, new clock spring, new dash clocks with the high end integrated screen, electronic brake servo etc. I actually don't know if it was available on non hybrids. Cruise control limit v has not been hacked, even across other Toyota vehicles that share components. Your need a new ECU from a USA Toyota, if you can find one that has matching fueling curves. Alternative is to fit aftermarket throttle controller, these work by fooling the signal entering the ecu

The ipa unit under passenger seat. It feeds data via a a gvif connection. The ipa is itself fed data from the 3 cameras, steering angle and sonar sensors. In aftermarket systems, a gvif to poor quality phono connection is possible, so essentially just a video feed to provide to the new headunit, because you lose the direct feedback mechanism via gvif, i don't belief the self parking works anymore as you cannot select on screen where the car should target itself. You should be able to retain the swapping between cameras via the button above the engine start button.

Your vehicle is listed as a 10 series. You sure you don't have a 20 series?

Google play pass is £5 a month or £30 for a year If you don't think you will change settings often, subscribe to Google play pass for a month, it unlocks this app, so you can mess about for a month. I created a separate Google account, pay for the year google pass, then my children add that account to their devices, too, and get a bunch of games unlocked, like terraria and stardew valley, lots of puzzle games if that's your thing. Of course, car scanner also allows you to scan diagnostics, and create dashboards that can setup to view coolant and gearbox oil temps, battery voltage and charge rate, Fuel trims, abs readings, etc etc. It's a good tool.

Sunroof or no sunroof
Chris.ac replied to Robert ferrier's topic in Alphard Club Members Introductions
Yes, it's certainly something to think about if converting to camper, as the roof loading is different if you have sunroof due to way the roof is reinforced. -
No problem. It's shocking how much summer of these obd2 adaptors cost. I have a Google play pass, so carscanner full version is free, but the app is still cheaper than some of the annual subscription ones like iCarly. Have you tried the other functions, like having all the windows open and close on long press of the lock unlock fob buttons? Quite useful when getting out of the car and the children have left window open.

Sunroof or no sunroof
Chris.ac replied to Robert ferrier's topic in Alphard Club Members Introductions
With the AC, i rarely use the sunroof, except to get easy access to the roof for cleaning. There is the risk of build-up of dirt in the drainage tubes, which can lead to the water getting into the roof lining. It's just a bit of maintenance once a year to make sure the channels are not blocked. It's personal preference, although vehicles without the sunroof have the option of a larger roof mounted storage. -
Look at trackers by micodus, if like me you want to manage it yourself and don't want to pay a subscription on top of a SIM.
-
It has electronic steering lock along with the immobilizer as standard. Factory alarm was an option, you'd have a separate fob and a small pyramid like sensor on the dash. You can buy a tracker for around £20, and fit a cheap pay monthly SIM like lyra mobile,, so£60 a year to run it.

Keyless Lock/Unlock
Chris.ac replied to Chris Stringer's topic in Toyota Alphard (08-15) Technical Guides
Is it still doing this? I ask because, when in in London, there's a particular shopping car park that my alphard will refuse to work with the fob. Even the door lock unlock sensors will not work and i have to manually use key. I think there is some jamming technology in the area. -
18 speaker system will have an amplifier that requires a 'MOST' adaptor to convert the output from most android units to a digital signal (some sellers call this an optical box, which it isn't) The roof monitor can be controlled from the headunit, it also has audio fed from the amplifier, which can make some setups difficult, the screen itself has a motorised flip, which is a signal from the headunit, so it worst case, you could wire a switch to operate it, although the resolution and screen size is poor, so maybe you'd upgrade this to a standalone unit? The rear only camera is simpler to connect, it does use a 6v supply, but converters exist that provide 6v from the standard 12v wiring. Again, you may be better buying a system that has 360 cameras in the kit, as these will offer a higher quality image.

Alternatively, try from a scrapped estima, previa or landcruiser -

£100! No. Just no. Buy it from amayama. For 20 series https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/8414042080 Even the 30 series is a similar price. -
Do you have sunroof? If so, check roof lining for 6 speakers, 2 at rear row and 4 between driver and mid row. If so, you have the 18 Speaker system that has a 16 channel amplifier under passenger seat. Does it only have rear camera? No front or side one? Do you have roof mounted monitor? Fyi a 3.5l is actual MODEL GGH20.
