  1. One connector is the media connection to the headunit, the other would have been to 110v power adaptors. Although it would seem your model did not have the ac inverter fitted.
  2. Ah. I'm sure when i ordered, it took into account the taxes i needed to pay -at least in my case, with uk import taxes.
  3. It's really hard without physically being there, but there are CANbus connections that are possible from the headunit, including sensing for speed, and parking brake/brake, which could create interference. As well as started previously, a physical issue of jamming/disconnecting the gear selector Sorry, you didn't say if the gear selection is displayed correctly on the dashboard when you change through the gearbox.
  4. There is a hybrid app based on prius which may work. Dr prius. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nexcell.app
  5. Prior to 2008, many JDM Toyota do not use the standard CAN protocol. Try using the k-line protocol
  6. Prior to this, did you make any modification involving wiring, even if not seemingly related? Does it have an aftermarket headunit fitted etc? Does the dash show the change in selected gear?
  7. This is what i bought in 2023, been fitted to roof using halfords Thule bars ever since.
  8. That head unit is stuck in Japanese. It's a JDM model number. Some later 2014 versions had English, as well as the export models (hong kong, Malaysia) That 3rd button with a G is a giveaway, as it means it is configured to connect to the Japanese data network, the export models do not have that button. That said, it has Bluetooth media and Bluetooth calling, and you can add a carplay box, and a small mod to the touchscreen that allows you to use it use your phone to display satnav etc.
  9. I'm not making a recommendation, as i don't have an older 10 series. But you can buy relatively cheap headunit from AliExpress. Eg. https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIwOv40
  10. Create a amazon.co.jp account, ( you can set it to English and £, then look for carmate inno roofrack parts for alphard h20 or terzo parts You can buy regular square adaptors or aero design. You can save money on shipping by only buying the foot pack and brackets, and buying the actual bars from the uk, Thule are compatible.
  11. I imagine the same. It's an import, so will fall into the same tax bracket. Although i don't open a hybrid, so i could be wrong Without an officially published emissions cert, it will be closed as an import PLG tax class 39
  12. Headunit frequency range is locked. I imagine the actual antenna there can be replaced with euro spec versions, although it seems very often JDM and Euro parts have different standards of connector.
  13. It's a fixed import rate, which is considerably less than a euro equivalent. If it was categorised correctly, you'd probably be paying over £480, so don't rock the boat. 12 months for a 2010 3.5lt was £345 this month, vs £295 in 2023.
  14. I've seen on a few Russian Toyota, and on the Japanese yahoo groups. It was something i had thought of installing, for full oem, but the cost of the components and shipping were greater than the valanti retroreflectors.
  15. Use the wiring diagrams from the thread i linked. You could also go to the Japanese site i linked that has the full manual. You should be able to recover the oem wiring and tap into the correct switched positive Unfortunately, i don't have access to a 10 series to actually confirm the wiring for you. I would suggest the enhanced light stalk would not be compatible, unless you ran new wiring, and changed or modified the clock spring too.
  16. You have aftermarket camera or headunit? You are right, that does not look good, it's like it doesn't have a low light setting.
  17. Check this thread out, for the 10 series. https://uk.alphardclub.com/forums/topic/1250-is-that-the-rear-fog-light/#comment-7034
  18. 10 series is different. The winter pack edition foglight is actually on the boot door. The drivers side light assembly should have an additional connection that utilise a dual filament bulb. I posted about it on my long multipage post a few years back. It's possible to intercept that wire in the rear loom. The 10 series did not have a rear fog position lighting stalk, it has a switch on the panel to right of steering wheel.
  19. You won't be able to. It really is easier to remove bumper, don't try and remove the wind baffle boxes under the bumper, you still won't get enough space to get a screwdriver in without chewing up the screw head.
  20. What type of bulb do you have in numberplate lamps? My rear camera is almost like nightvision. Do you have a photo? I'll grab one from mine tonight
  21. Look at the knowledge base section of the following group vaug.club You can download a manual, and a file called SDS (service data sheet) that is a simple document losing the oil, sparkplug, coolant, wheel alignment data
  22. What head unit do you have? You can adjust the distance they start screaming at you. My Alphard has 4 rear sensors, not just the corners. You can calibrate the camera from the headunit. With engine running, and lights off, hold the top right physical button on the headunit, and flick lights on and off 3 times to enter service menu. Use a translator app like Google translate, you can navigate to the camera settings.
  23. There are basically 3 designs across the 10/20/30 series. That shape is a Type 2.
  24. You can buy blanks as well as a dual usb unit from places like aliexpress Something like this (cheaper options are available) I just found this on AliExpress: Alphard Vellfire Interior Accessories https://a.aliexpress.com/_EGqantm
