  1. https://car-box.info/toyota/previa/alphard-h10-2002-2009.html Try this, just found it myself.
  2. So slight update, the door can now be manually closed. It's a poor experience but does work. The door catch I wiggled about several times, then slowly closed the door. It locked and I heard a fait mechanical noise which may have been the locking mechanism trying to shut. I have ordered a new small motor, and will see if that helps, as I don't fancy paying for one of the large door motors.
  3. Hi all, Replaced the right side cables for the sliding door. Once installed, I turned the power doors back on, and pressed the open/close button in the cab. Power was there, with door in the open and held back position. Activated close door, and door attempts to release itself from open and held position, but cannot. It attempts several times. I then turned off the power doors, and closed the door manually, which was fine, although the door will no longer lock shut and now seems to be unresponsive to open or close using the cab mounted button, key fob or the door handles. Seems really odd the blooming door won't lock at all now, although it moves fine manually with the new cables installed. Any thoughts or suggestions? Cheers
  4. I see on my 2007, similar symptoms. I also noticed the cables on both doors that are exposed to the outside of the vehicle in the recess beneath each rear side window, have perished. We'll that's to say, the sheath has worn or deterioration occurred. I will need to replaced these, I wonder does anyone know where to buy those top cables? Or am I being too optimistic and its time to buy an assembly part? Thoughts please ๐Ÿ™ 20240228_165143.mp4
  5. Hi Chris, indeed a 10 series. The battery was changed and I suspect the ECU needs to relearn the AFS setting. The axel mounts are fine, along with the headlights. There were two ABS faults showing on the diagnostic machine, however these were reset and the flashing AFS continued. If anyone has had this on a 10 series and has a solution, do please let me know. Cheers ๐Ÿป
  6. Hey all, could anyone point me to where in the Alphard this service point is please? I had a look last night but couldn't find it in the drivers well. Any pointers please ๐Ÿ™
  7. Maybe grease the mechanism? Or you may want to look into the recess on the rear panel where the runner slides. Tge cable sheath may be warn and needs replaced. Mine is like that.
  8. Awesome Michael, I will get in touch with these also. All the best, cheers Dan
  9. Oddly after cleaning tge obstruction sensors the issue has not reoccurred. So, at the moment I belive it was exactly that.. dirty sensors??? Thank you all for your help and pointers, much appreciated ๐Ÿ™
  10. Thank you Roger, No, I have not approached anyone other than my normal mechanic who appeared a little uninterested in the Alphard. To be fair, he only works on German autos normally. I will ring around next week and see who wanted to take a look. Always find it better to get a recommendation or a warning if a garage or mechanic is good or one to avoid. If no one else has any feedback, once I have had the work done I will be happy to feedback on my experience. Cheers for the information on the parts, that will be useful ๐Ÿ‘ Thanks Dan
  11. Hi all, Any recommendations for Alphard garages? I want a major service completed, I need the front end/steering checked over as the bushes maybe on their way out. I am a bit of a weirdo, as I like prevention rather than cure and do enjoy having all of my vehicles well looked after regularly. If anyone has any recommendations, do let me know. Of course, of you have had a poor experience, that would ge useful also. Maybe private message me if you didn't want to chat openly on the forum. Dan
  12. Hi All, I think Newbury Race track in Berkshire could be a good place. Not very far north, but great access from the west, east and south of England. I am up for wherever the majority want to go. Here are some places that I have wanted to take my van: 1. Isle of White. 2. Isle of Man. 3. Pennines. 4. Edinburgh. 5. Hunstanton, Norfolk. 6. Brecon, Wales. 7. Cornwall. 8. South Shields. 9. Lake District. 10. Derbyshire Dales. Wherever is chosen, it will be fantastic to see everyone's vans and to say hello.
  13. This a a great idea ๐Ÿ’ก ok, I will check that Chris! Roger suggested a couple of potential investigations too. I will look at it this week and report back to the group. Have a good day, Dan
  14. This might be spot in then Roger. I do have that fob yes. We had a head unit fitted on the weekend (android upgrade) although the issue was happen beforehand, so I suspect this is unrelated. It may be the fob, or as you say, sensors. Fault finding action is required. I appreciate your response and suggestions ๐Ÿ˜Š Cheers Dan
  15. Hello Roger, nice to meet you! I have no idea, could you let me know how I confirm that please? Cheers Dan
  16. My goodness! I have been hearing more noise from the rear of my Mk1 this week. Like a window was open, and a rattle. The rattle was really irritating me, so I sat in the back while my wife drove. To my horror, the rear door unlocked by itself! I have tried this in a few conditions now. Static: I manually closed the rear door. Within 40 seconds it unlocked itself, to the point I could put my fingers behind the door and wobble. It appears to still be on the latch, but very concerning. I then tried it electronically, which closed the boot, locked it. Then unlocked it and the boot moved slightly, again leaving finger space so I could wobble the boot door. Slowly moving: both manually and electronically I closed the boot door. Jumped straight into the Alphard, Staithes engine and pulled off. I can get about 20 metres and the same result. The boot door unlocks. Disabled electronically assist doors: manually closed and then Jumped in Alphard. Locked all doors with the lock button inside the drivers door. I moved off, maybe drove 50 metres and the door unlocked itself again.... Any suggestions? Cheers Dan
  17. Awesome ๐Ÿ‘Œ OK, will pop it over to you tomorrow. Thanks for the help, have a good evening!
  18. Happy Friday everyone! My Alphard has squeaking issues from inside the passenger area. I can't sit in the back and drive, so did some Internet searching, an found a common squeak can come from one or more of the sliding door latches. Has anyone managed to buy these rubber replacement parts? I found a place in Malaysia, but they can't post to the UK. If you happen to know of where I can buy these and have shipped to the UK, please let me know. Happy weekend all
  19. Superb! These are great examples. Thank you for posting the images.
  20. This is really helpful, I am doing the same thing this weekend. The passenger side headlight is drenched. Thanks for the pointers.
  21. That could be a very good point. ๐Ÿ‘ thanks for pointing out, I had been looking at LEDs so maybe a Halogen is the better way to go. It does look like there are not many (well, any) options out there. I have started chatting to a company on Alibaba, maybe they have something available. Have a good week
  22. I see the use of social media ๐Ÿคฎ I can't do that. Will wait for the date a location, if anyone needs help with organising, let me know, I am happy to help
  23. I have one in my Mk1. I think someone commented on this in a previous thread. It is a useful light which keeps the cabin eliminated to a level which means you don't scrabble in the dark, but also won't be distracted by it.
