  1. Hello Jim, Welcome to the Forum
  2. I think you can get kits from the Barnstaple area. Don't underestimate the skills needed to design and build your own. Just cuttng the ply isn't easy ! Electrics to fit, gas to connect; be very careful.
  3. Adrian Flux are an Insurance Broker; which may explain why they claim they didn't know what an Alphie was ! If yours is not a camper, try Aviva. Aviva were happy to insure mine until I had it converted.
  4. Can you write your message in the correct area, not just in the title heade, please Then I'll move it, as this section is for members to introduce themselves
  5. Hi Sabrina, Welcome to the Forum. What region code for DVDs does Canada use ?
  6. Hello Aidan, Welcome to the Forum.
  7. And thanks for this too.
  8. Hello again Andrea, Following our brief discussion earlier today, thank you so much for following my suggestion to inform Forum members of where they can get their vehicles worked on. HAPPY Alpharding
  9. Looking good, nice photo location too.
  10. Hi Rosie, Try Naeem at Japanese MPV London (Uxbridge). They may know somewhere.
  11. Essential, espcially the future north you are.
  12. Hello Rosie, Welcome to the Forum.
  13. Vehicles without sun roofs do seem to be quite rare. The roof structure is different, as Chris says above, and they seem to bought by convertors intending to fit a pop-top roof.
  14. Hi, Several of us are aware that the Torsen LSD is an option. What we are not so sure of is that you have one fitted in your vehicle. Enquiries ongoing ! Hopefully, you'll get a definitive answer soon.
  15. On an ealrier model (than yours) this sounds like you may need your heater circuit bleeding of air. It is covered here somewhere on the Forum
  16. Fascinating ! You never know.
  17. I like to pull the moonroof shade back to allow more light in, without opening the roof. If you camp that moonroof can provide some stunning star lit skies.
  18. Hello Donald, Welcome to the Forum. DyerNostics (sic) in, or near, Bodmin. I think he relocated during the last year, but is still in the area. He is a Toyota Master Technican, as opposed to a Alphard specialist. The Snows dealership chain in Devon will work on Alphards; you should check your Truro dealer. Don't be surprised if they don't. Forearmed is forewarned.
  19. Hello Declan, Welcome to the Forum. I have an earlier model so cannot answer most of your questions with any accuracy. I bought Maguard (?) locking wheel nuts for my van; you must check for the correct wheel fitment, conical or flat washers.
  20. Hello Vell Boy, Welcome to the Forum
  21. Hi Lee, How did you get on with Listers ?
  22. I agree with Richard. An LSD is possible, but unlikely. Imho, they don't don't need an LSD, a diff yes; not an LSD.
  23. Welcab is the usual supplier of these disabilty/mobility seats; and most are fitted by the large nearside sliding door. The doors are often electrically operated. We do have a member or two that have made enquiries on this forum about servicing and repair, so much more reading for you to do
  24. Hello Kevin, Welcome to the Forum. If you remove the rear seats there may be enough room for a scooter, depends how big it is. Also, on many models the rear seats fold up sideways. If you remove the middle seats as well, which is not too difficult to do, there will be plenty of room. Although securing the scooter may be an issue. IF seeking a vehicle with mobility seat you MUST ensure where you will get the seat serviced and repaired. Do NOT assume you can take it anywhere. Most Toyota dealers will not service Alphards. It is essential to have a reliable, capable mechanic before you buy.
  25. What a shame they let you down.
