  1. It is essential to keep your starter battery fully charged throughout the winter months. Check your room/mood lights are not on. It;s difficult to tell in decent light. Do you have any accessories that are not OEM ? Sometimes owners are tempted to add gizmos without them being wired through the ignition. Send your registration or VIN to Picasso for the part number.
  2. Auto Electrician. 80 pounds; for which mine did additional keys for free. Excludes cost of key. They will need a master key, which you almost certainly will have. Techstream is free, but the connection leads are not. Some leads work, some don't. there are several suggestions in this forum on which leads to buy.
  3. Hhmm. I hope car thieves don't read this !
  4. I know it won't help you now, but for the benefit of other prospective owners, I always recommend an independent inspection before purchase I used the AA or RAC. The written inspection was very thorough. It cost about 300 UKP and It didn't find any issues, and I haven't found any since either. Well worth the cost for the reassurance I received, or the bargaining power the report can provide. When the odometer is altered from Km to miles, there is an opportunity for deliberate transposition errors ! How do you detect this ? The (export) Auction Sheet; you must get a copy. No auction sheet; walk away. If the odometer is falsified before auction you will never know; but afterwards, you definitely will from the km at export auction. Regarding undersealing, a definite must for the UK. Regarding the rear bushes. A common problem. Mine were redone before purchase at about the same mileage as yours. Preventative or required maintenance ? I don't know, but I know they were done. I guess the previous use will effect this greatly (rear end loading) ; but you won't know that either. You could also collect all the bills for rectification and open a case in the Small Claims Court. Whatever you do, you will enjoy the vehicle when you have sorted the issues.
  5. Their web site asserts they are AA approved. I would give the AA a call. I seem to remember these guys are affiliated with another company that I know is (or was) very good. I'll contact them and check the affiliation. Perhaps they will help.
  6. So sorry to hear about your situation. How long ago did you purchase the van ? What was, is, the warranty ? I would be thinking about a chat with Trading Standards. Maybe a chat with DVLA regarding the apparent clocking. Swapping tyres after a sale is just despicable.
  7. Hello Brian, Welcome to the Forum.
  8. Apparently, they only sell new parts; no pre-owned parts.
  9. Helen, You ought to upload a photo of the interior and kitchen area.
  10. Quite normal for an automatic transmission on a 'steep' incline. Just 'feathering' the 'gas' should do the trick; just be careful; you could also apply the parking brake but I never do.
  11. Sorry. I thought they did pre-owned parts !
  12. Hello Peter, Welcome to the Forum. I thought the Gen 1 facelift had an electric steering rack; I must be wrong. Jap Auto spares for a pre owned unit ?
  13. Hello Ian, Welcome to the Forum. Have you tried Jap Auto spares ?
  14. Send your registration or VIN to Picasso by Personal Message
  15. Hi Helen, I have added the price for you.
  16. Hello 'Smith', Welcome to the Forum. With respect, I think you may need to consider buying different child seats. Whilst child safety is absolutely paramount, surely you buy the seats to fit the van, not visa versa ! I have checked the middle seats in my van, a 2006; there are no ISOfix seat mounting points that I can find. So you need to review any prospective vans carefully, take your seat along and try and fit it . The Forum must have members who carry young children, so I hope you receive some helpful replies.
  17. Hello Antony, There is a very detailed answer to your question (somewhere) in the Forum. Try searching the Technical sections, perhaps for Camber.
  18. Hello Eric, Welcome to the Forum.
  19. Hello Mark, Welcome to the Forum. Will your passengers be adults or children, or a combination of both ?
  20. I have sent you two PMs. You have answered the latest one, which was a repeat of the first one. Thank you for your help in that matter.
  21. Your battery may be in need of a good charging.
  22. Can you post a photo please, so other Alpharders,, with Calder Conversions can comment on what you have; rather than on what they think you may have.
  23. Hello Kenneth, Welcome to the Forum.
  24. Hello Bill, Welcome to the Forum. Are you referring to a private sale, or a business sale ? If a private sale, yes, you can post in the Buy and Sell section. If a business sale, no, Trade Sales are not allowed unless you become a Trade Member. To do that, you need to contact The Alphard Club (as in the membership list) by Personal Message (which is Private).
