  1. Hello Glenn, Welcome to the Forum. I expect you will get a reply Chris.ac from on this. In the meantime you read his replies to threads on the subject.
  2. Hello Huw, Welcome to the Forum.
  3. The dreaded VAT is payable on imported goods. There may be a lower threshold that I am not aware. I import items from Germany quite often. Sometimes I get charged VAT, sometimes I don't ! The value tends to be between 100 and 200 euros. Unless goods are shipped through a HMRC authorised 'channel'(i.e. tax collector) payment is often required before delivery. Through the authorised channel, my goods are delivered and then I receive a separate tax bill from the importer. So, don't be surprised if the goods ultimately cost more than expected. VAT is levied on shipping costs too. VAT is normally charged by ebay when necessary; so there should not be surprises there.

Hello Michael, Welcome to the Forum. MFU or NFU ? HAPPY CAMPARDING.
  5. Hello Peter, Welcome to the Forum.
  6. Hello Rob, Welcome to the Forum. I think you'll find your cam belt will never need changing; you haven't got one. The cams are chain driven.
  7. Harry, Thanks for these suggestions I don't really notice it anymore ! I take it for granted. It is not severe, just annoying as it waggles. I'll try what you suggest but have my doubts how meaningful the test is. For the benefit of other readers. The tailgate is connected to the struts in the normal way. The motorised assist, via a 15 inch long rod, is connected to the tail gate quite high up in relation to the hinges. As the door is only assisted on one side, the nearside, that, in itself, could cause the waggle. However, I cannot believe Toyota allowed such an ineffective design to go to market. I could disconnect the rod but I am very cautious that the full load of the door will be borne by only the struts and , I, personally will need to take the excess load ! I may have my mechanic take a look as he will be able to carefully, and safely, prop the rear door open as we 'play'. I have previously oiled the struts and greased the hinges, but to no effect. Lubricating the struts is not made easy by having the rods, when extended, on the lower part of the assembly ! Your reply has piqued my interest again ....
  8. Hello Luke, Welcome to the Forum.
  9. We refuel too, as soon as the light comes on, whatever vehicle we are in. Better we all be safe rather than sorry. I don't believe E10 damages the fuel system, but I am no expert (on anything ! ).
  10. Hello Phil, Welcome to the Forum. This topic is covered within the forum; tends to be on old vehicles with a 4 speed gearbox. Lot's of reading for you to do ! Use the search box on your home page. Availability of fuel (especially the further you travel into the south west), and lack of a spare wheel, seem to be the main issues.
  11. The problem with this method is, if there is any 'debris' in the tank it will get pumped through the fuel system. Not what I would want on my van. If using E10, and your vehicle is unused throughout winter, you may experience fuel separation where some water separates from the fuel; also not good for the fuel system. This is one of the main reasons for the E5/E10 debate; covered elsewhere in this forum. 9 litres is the volume Toyota published in the Owners Manual.
  12. Do you have the symbol on your steering wheel ? The camera, if you have one is in the middle of the grill, just under the bonnet opening. A slight pointed, but rounded, projection. Only about a cubic inch.
  13. Have the rear axle mounts/links been replaced lately ?
  14. Check out the photos; there's lots on here
  15. The symbol is for your side looking (peep and creep) front camera. It is switchable from the steering wheel and the head unit. However, I don't recall ever seeing mine light up ! Is it green or yellow ? I suggest you clean the front lenses.
  16. Nine litres is two gallons, which is more than many cars have low fuel notification for.
  17. When you have about 9 litres left.
  18. Have you tried Northstar Conversations on the Isle of Wight ? They are the only company I know that produce/use swivels that I know, and that's for Gen 1 vehicles, and they don't fit the middle row. My guess is Gen 3 is a little too young for them; but worth a phone call.
  19. You could fit a battery isolation switch; will kill any current; even the cooler if you have one ! Silly idea perhaps. or, have a larger battery fitted.
  20. The size and thread should be easy to find. Any decent auto shop should be able to give you one. The only issue I would consider is the strain that the bolt needs to endure. Depends on what you intend to fit to your roof rack.
  21. On your model ? Yes.
  22. It's there to warn pedestrians you are reversing
